Afternoon all,
Hope all having a good day, havent yet managed to catch up with the thread, have been out meeting friends at an indoor play area for a catch up and lunch and then met another friend to handover presents.
Have come home to a fab letter from the Open Uni it appears that my previous study is worth more points than i have realised and has basically knocked a year of what study i need to do to earn a degreee :j :j :j
so currently jumping around the kitchen.
However I need to get my butt ingear and do some flying as tescos are due to deliver between 7&9 and I have to tidy kitchen and clean out fridge before they arrive.
HHC 4.30 -5 anyone??0 -
I've sorted out the little bedroom, dusted and polished and vacuumed. Bed made. Radiator turned on and window opened a crack to air. It was very dusty because I couldn't get in there for so long but it's all clean now.
I vacuumed in DD2's bedroom where I could get, did the corners where the furniture was taken from. When it's empty I'll blitz it!
Vacuumed the landing and gave my bedroom a quick go round too while I had the stuff up there.
Washed the old sheet I had on DS's bed and put on a clean one before I made the bed. I like to put an old sheet on under the proper sheet as an extra layer.
I know I will miss DD2 but she will be here for Christmas Day dinner definitely. I don't know exactly when she is going, it depends on when she can get her bed set up etc. She's a florist so will probably be working late tonight and tomorrow. Her boyfriend is picking up some more stuff tomorrow for her while she's working. It will feel worse after next weekend. DS will be going back home on Sunday and DH is staying at DD1's house for two weeks to look after their dog while they're on holiday. It will just be me, two cats and a senile dog!
I'll still see DD2, she's not moving that far away, but it's my last child leaving home. Bound to feel it.
Glad you've got food sorted out Pigpen.
Hope your DH got on OK at the doctor Vanilla.0 -
Great news pigpen
Plan didn't go well, DP got annoyed with the traffic, moaning he has to be at work (not until 6pm!) went to Maplins for the stuff he needed and came home, so I either have to figure somewhere else to get what I need or drive back through over an hours traffic, taking boys alone, oh joy! To say I am annoyed would be an understatement, I did say I'd go on my own in the first place so he didn't moan. Now I have less time to cram everything I need to do in. He said 'go tomorrow alone' but I have groceries to collect then, of course means I won't get a present as he was going to get mine aswell. Nevermind at least he's not shouting/moaning and using the stuff he got he needed in his garage.
Best go through the list and see if I can get away with going elsewhere....One day I might be more organised...........
