Pigpen - hope you get something sorted... with that and the kitchen it sounds as if going away for Christmas might be the answer
. Probably on your own if you want to stay sane...
Bed is almost made... just need to find a nice, clean, freshly-ironed duvet cover and put it on... really want to have a bath before I go to bed, but I'm not sure there's time if I've got to get up, pack and leave at a reasonable time...0 -
We are in, although no alarm clocks will be set for the morning. Both kids are shattered so will let them wake naturally and recharge their batteries ready for the next few days!
Night all and Merry Christmas to those going away/not able to get online.
Good Luck with the move emilyOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Good morning all.
Oh god the ironing tomorrow
Well I have wrapped all the pressies but it is OH's birthday on boxing day and there is no way I have enough for that so I will have to nip into town and pick up some bits for him to open.
Fly down to Adelaide on the 27th (much cooler down there - can't wait)
so need to start organising the packing as we will have to pack tomorrow, don't want to do it on christmas eve, day or OH birthday.
House not too bad, despite the 8,000 children I seem to have in every day - Why is it always my house? Why don't they play at other children' s  houses? Bet their mums have tidy houses (grumble grumble)
Right - up and at them then - going to change the sheets and then nip into town - MUST take my paperwork to Centrelink office so they can sort out my child benefit - will be lovely when I get it - backdated till September!
Have a lovely christmas all.

I'm still wrapping, i'm not stopping until it's done:rolleyes:. Ds2 has loads more presents than Ds1 but Ds1's are more expensive:cool:.
Good luck with the move Emily and Merry Christmas if you don't manage to get online before.
Pigpen  thats terrible they shouldn't give you substitutions if you've not asked for them. Especially if they're more expensive.0 -
I'm off to bed now.
Sainsbury delivery came half an hour late - didn't bother me but they gave me a voucher for £10 off another delivery so very happy. Only 2 subs and they were very sensible ones so no problems there thankfully. After two bad delivery experiences with Tesco - never would I use them again. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I don't think I'm going to get much sleep tonight... firstly because my next door neighbours are making noise (one side is crack addict... she's clearly either on a bender or 'entertaining' as there is loud music - of course, she may have passed out and left it on) and other side are a couple who live elsewhere but come back occasionally as the house has sentimental value (it's a 1950's semi)... but when they're here they aren't working, so stay up late, have the tv on (OK, I probably only hear it because I'm used to it being silent that side), and seem incapable of closing a door without slamming it... and secondly because I've stayed up so late I'm now wide awake. Doesn't bode well for needing to get up early to pack & leave!0

Greenbee oh no, they sound like nightmare neighbours (when both are there) I am so pleased this house is detatched, the only ever noise we have is the church bell and sometimes the flats behind us (I get revenge by cutting the lawn first thing the next morning as it's in the summer they do it) Have you got some lug plugs? Hope you get some sleep.
Pigpen, my offers there with soappies too, seriously hun PM if you need anything sorting x I just considered putting an order in but a) you'd shout b) I wouldn't know what to get c) there is no darn slots for your area! Personally I'd phone Customer Services and rant at them, they have once refused to deliver mine when the without subs came to under the minimum delivery, but after a quick rant they delivered it!
Mrs LL if you keep bragging about the being cooler down there you'll make the rest jealous (not me I hate the heat) have a lovely time, hope you find something for your DH. With the kids, I used to have that happen, then I started using a 2 letter word, NO! It worked. I lost my temper after kids being left with us 9am-9pm and finding out the parents were sometimes going out, enjoying drinks etc.
As for deliveries, I prefer Asda as the subs are usually sensible and I order cheap stuff so the no additional charge for subs works well for me!One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
lil_me - most of the time it's not too bad... the part-time ones aren't there that often (although when they are, they also have a yappy, snarly dog, and a very noisy electric mower that clearly needs its blades sorting!), and the other side she's frequently in hospital (she should technically be in prison, but is on one of the preventing reoffending courses instead - although she's already been electronically tagged, isn't attending her rehab sessions, and has had her kids taken away from her) as her liver is in such a state it can't cope with her binges.
Still, the rest of my neighbours are nice, and one day I'll live in the middle of nowhere again, like I did when I was little
for the moment, I do the same as you... early morning mowing... must head off to bed now. Will try reading and see whether that helps!0 -
Okay the shorties didnt let me down when we went to visit DH in hospital.........but they have me so wound up:(....I hardly ever get angry with them!!! And all over a stupid song in the car on the way home....DS2 was singing in the back all I want for christmas is my two front teeth then he substituted two front teeth with wooden box....I asked him where he heard it from and he laughed and said I heard it in school, I asked him what he thought it meant....DS1 promptly said it means a coffin mum, I was so angry I cried and said at this time of year you should never say things like that, I also said that 3 members of our family are going to be in hospital over christmas 2 of whom are very ill (my grandma and my auntie). DS2 said I didnt mean anything by it mum, and I know he didnt, but I am still fuming! I know I will apologise to him in the morning and ask him to think about other peoples feelings ect and I know that words are just that at times.......but do you ever get the feeling that because it has been said out loud that it could happen??? Or should I maybe see a Dr!!!!:jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0
