Finished wrapping friends presents, now off to drop them round. Also need to call into the chemists on the way to pick up some cold/flu stuff to keep me going over the two days.
Made mince pies earlier but well there is a lesson to be learnt..don't cook when you aren't well and definately don't make mince pies in a muffin tin..lol. I forgot I had thrown away my small bun tin and hadn't bought a new one
Had a sobbing session to my mate over the phone, was feeling sorry for myself as I didn't feel well, was running a temperature and generally just felt like running away. But after about an hour of her listening to me I felt a lot better and started tackling stuff.
So now I am off to deliver presents then home to hoover upstairs quickly.Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

I'm running out of energy!
Have done the garden bits that needed doing
Have half washed the utility room floor - just waiting for it to dry before I move stuff onto it and do the second half
Then I've only got the bathroom to do - that, really, just needs a swish and swipe and the floor washing.
Then it's into the kitchen. I'm not doing the kitchen floor until the morning - I shall be playing with flour and stuff this evening!
Natty - hugs love - try not to do too much if you're poorly
Lil-me - hope things are going as well as they can this afternoon for youI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I've emerged from the kitchen! Put a load of washing on (need some clean jeans and socks for tomorrow! Also put the dishwasher on and cleared the sink. So that's a start to get me going. Have fresh cup of coffee and then I'm off to try and tackle a worktop or two. Been terribly lethargic the last couple of days so need some omph!

Natty - hugs... try not to overdo things
Soappie - have a break and a cuppa and you'll soon feel re-energised, honest!
I still have presents to wrap, but flying opportunities here are limited - my mum has everything under control!
I've been asked to do a reading at my grandfather's funeral, so any suggestions would be welcome. It's intended as a thanksgiving more than anything else, so I'm looking for a poem or text that will reflect that. We're also not wearing black, so I see a shopping trip coming on for something new and exciting
Also... those of you who do family history/ebay or both... my dad has been looking into family history and has come across an ancestor who was a clockmaker in bristol in (I think) the 17th Century. We already have a grandfather clock of his (it has adam, eve and the serpent on the dial - methodists have a lot to answer for!), but my dad is keen to get a watch. I can find ebay data on ones that have already been sold (canada, australia & poland) but wondered if there is an art/science to finding out when they come up!
Hope you're all starting to relax & feel Christmassy0
