Thanks. Tried the settings 3 times and afraid that still getting feedback on playback. My wife (I'm on as her as she signed in earlier today when you kindly responded to her plea for help), sends her profuse thanks for all we have tried this evening. Shame that it has not yet solved the problem. My mind is spinning at this time and I'm going to pour a drop of single malt!! If you don't mind pondering this conundrum, will sign on in the morning again before departing to the office. Once more, many thanks for your help and patience.

Dont have the Mic to Near the Speakers or that will cause feedback.

You can always use a jack plug fitting Mic, they are a lot better
but I thought that is what you had as an earlier post said you had USB
just make sure please if USB Mic or not.
  • Hi again, I'm afraid its the girlie non technical one again!! Just thought I'd thank you personally for your kind atempts to help us. The webcam has a built in microphone and connects to the computers usb port. It's a logitech quickcam messenger... nothing bl**dy quick about our attempts to work it tho! Your advice gratefully received , but I dont think I could do all the tasks required, need to leave it to other half... brain overload!

Slightly "off topic" but on a related issue.

Many people (me included) have misgivings about the Logitech Desktop Messenger. It's installed with many Logitech products and is usually classified as spyware.

As usual on these things the manufacturer issues discalimers and platitudes on its webiste but I wouldn't pay too much attention to that.

It's unnecessary and can be removed/disabled.
