Search for yourself at your address and it should show you anyone else living there under your record. Does for me.0

Good idea - I'll do that now.
Thanks for all your support. Makes me feel better that I'm not totally paranoid.0 -
I think next time someone rings for the mysterious lady, you need to quiz the person ringing. You need to ask them what they are ringing about, who they are etc. You might get lucky and gleen something to help.0

Just before I moved out of my rented flat, I started getting statements from a catalogue and Barclaycard addressed to someone I'd never heard of but using my exact flat address - that rang alarm bells as between me and my landlord it was flat 7B, but to the utilities etc it was flat 6 (don't ask, its complex!) but the bills were addressed to 7B. As I'd been there 20 years, it couldn't have simply been a past tenant. I rang the source and warned them that it was likely fraud and never heard a dicky bird again, although I do remember that the people I spoke to weren't all that bothered!0

I'm glad it's not just me then.
I rang the Electoral Register and 'Julie's' not on our listing so that's one less worry.
I'll certainly ask our next caller for more details, that's a good idea. The first caller I spoke to told me he suspected it was a scam. The next phone call just seemed resigned to failure!0
