another great deal thanks ;D
now does anybody have the number for AA :-/ :-[ ::)**************************************
I need someone really bad! Are you really bad?
**************************************0 -
I was trying to order the 4 seasons case of 15 bottles from the Sunday Times site, but couldn't get the codes to work. So I phoned up the helpline and told the lady that my friend had given me a couple of codes but I couldn't get them to work. (I didn't say which cases I wanted to buy.)
She wasn't sure why they weren't working, but said that if I place the order anyway, I could email them with the code and they would deduct it for me, (which would mean I couldn't get away with being sneaky and ordering the 4 seasons wine plan twice!)
But I did find out that the 3rd code is for definitely orders over £64.99, and the other two are apparently codes sent to customers who have already purchased from the site, so if you do phone or email them, say your friend gave you the code or something. And you are only supposed to use one of the V-codes at a time, but people have succeeded in using them both, provided you buy 2 cases.
Anyway, after being unable to make the magic to work for me on the Sunday Times site, I tried Laithwaites, (see other posts on this thread), and finally worked out that the codes work when ordering Christmas cases, (and presumably others), but not with the wine club offer.
I assume this is because you are only supposed to order one introductory case, so even if you have 2 in your basket, it only counts as one case from the discount point of view, so the spend threshold is too low for the £20 code.
The other two codes each seem to apply to a single case of 12 bottles, and the wine club case doesn't seem to count towards this, possibly because it is cheap already, or because the codes are intended for existing customers, and so won't work for the introductory offer.
So, to re-cap, you can either buy the Introductory Case, (or two cases if you're lucky), with no discount codes,
OR
regular cases, including the Christmas selections, with a total discount of £40.00 if you use all 3 codes, and buy at least 2 cases of 12 bottles each, reaching a total of at least £64.99 before p&p.
I think I've got this right for the Laithwaites site, and probably applies to the Sunday Times site too.
If you think you're going to need really huge amounts of wine over the next 6 months to a year, you might even get away with registering on each site separately and using the set of 3 codes on each site. (Delete cookies and browser cache, etc.)
If anyone is inspired to do this and succeeds, do please let us know!
I am going to try and see if I can add an introductory case to my order as well, and see whether that cancels the codes for the other cases out.
Hic! ;DA penny saved is a penny gained0 -
It works. So if you really want to have both deals for one lot of P&P you can. Don't forget to cancel the wine plan once your wine arrives, though.now does anybody have the number for AA :-/ :-[ ::)A penny saved is a penny gained0

I managed to order an introductory case of 12 + 3 bottles, and two Christmas Best Buys (with £40 total voucher discount) last night from the Laithwaites site. Took a bit of fiddling and cookie clearing to get my order to go properly through though.
Will do the wine plan thing later, but with 3 cases to get through now, it will be a little while

Ok, I've read the whole thread and now I'm totally confused! Is there anyone cleverer than me (not difficult!) that could sum up what the best Laithwaites deal is and how to get it? ie which website, which cases and which voucher codes to use. Or does the original tip work, and just need to clear down cookies etc????
Any help gratefully received.

Cough, I've put a step by step guide on me website...
:-[
Be aware that the link on my site will get me a commission (3.5%).
Also, I suspect combining the three vouchers will work with any two cases but I've just used the cheap Xmas cases.0 -
I've just ordered 84 bottles of red/white from Tesco for £95

This looks like a good deal ;D
I am thinking of ordering a couple of the '4 Seasons All Red' cases, can anyone please advise me on the red wines included in this deal as I can't find details on the Laithwaite website?
Thanks.0 -
