I finally managed to register by going directly to the sundaytimeswineclub homepage & not using the above links.

Alas, couldnt get the Laithwaites codes to work.

So, looks like its around to Jaynie's for the drinks ;)

Sorry you didn't have any luck with the Laithwaites-recommended it as it went through for me smoothly.(Guess the site wasn't as busy then) :'( >:(
You're very welcome to a drink ;D but most of it's wrapped up as pressies ::) and the rest is to drink away my frustrations of the very poor online customer service from Index! -but that's another story.

If i get any more codes will post them incase there are any other lucky soles that can get registered on Laithwaites site.
    Nice to save.

neither site works at all. Looks like bad programming
  • OK

Sunday times one isn't working for me, but laithwaites is.

Go to the main site, click on wine plans and you should see the same deal as the sunday times - i.e. 15 bottles of wine + corkscrew for 39.99 (I also did this last year and can definately say it was a good deal)

These should go in your basket no problem, and also try the codes, they seemed to work for me. Not forgetting of course to do all this via Greasy Palm!

    Happy shopping!

    TQ

I finally got through and placed my order..... Basically the original posted deal is slightly pricier than the other cases after discounts, and you don't need to remember to cancel.

The 4 seasons case comes to £2.67 a bottle (still cheaper than the supermarket). it's £40 for 15 bottles. The vouchers won't work on these cases.

The Christmas reds cost £50, and the wines are all £60 a case (which makes it better value than buying the cases individiually). But with the vouchers, the wine costs only £30, which is £2.50 per bottle.

Anyway, I bought two * 4 seasons, and 2 christmas reds.
    Glug!
  • Got a smashing deal through Laithwaites
    Christmas mixed case (6 white, 6 red-v.nice)
£49.99, then for first case use voucher 'VB0518' -takes £10 0ff, if you want a 2nd case of 12 bottles then use 'VB0519' so 24 bottles for £79.99 and then code 'LWAFM09'- this takes off an extra £20!
(postage is £4.99) so total for 24 bottles is £64.97! not bad, plan to use 1 case for pressies and the other is for us for Xmas & New Year! cheers! :D :P
How does this work? I tried the VB0519 code to buy 24 bottles; but got a message saying that I can only redeem one voucher per order ???

Also, where does the second code that reduces the price by another £20 go? I might be having a senior moment, but I'm getting nowhere :).
  • The codes are for Laithwaites only.

Only one per order (correct me if I'm wrong) - the £20 one has to be used on a minimim spend of £64.99 and the £10 one on any other case?
  • I don't want to sound fussy but do people mind using https://www.!!!!!!.com on the big links!

Hi Lakelady, didn't mean to steal your thunder from the original post was just trying to be helpful with codes that gave a good discount also on wine.

The process I went through was:
select the 'Mixed Cases' -'Christmas Best buys' wine £49.99 but select 2 as quantity, then go to checkout where codes are requested, then enter 'VB0518' & then 'VB0519' this takes £10 off each case, then the further £20 off is 'LWAFM09' (postage is £4.99) so total for 24 bottles is £64.97 then you need to register if you haven't already, i was lucky mine went through before it all got busy, but if you have problems like the many above then try Travelqueens suggestion of going throught the wine plan route- apparently the code can work there too as they are for Laithwaites.

Hope this helps, such a good deal, but i know lots of frustration if the site crashes.
    Nice to save.
