just a thought, do you use outlook express ??

is it set to disconnect after sending/recieving emails

No, I do not use outlook express. I have scanned my PC with spybot search and destroy, microsoft antispyware and ccleaner , nothing came up. Do I have do it in safe mode, is it F12 for XP? I am a bit concerned as my AV just picked another virus which it has quarantinted. This new pc seems to be infected more easily despite the security I have added. Thanks

its recomended by most people that if you want to remove a virus, you scan for viruses in safe-mode with system-restore dissabled. for safe-mode, restart your computer and keep tapping F8

That's the third time my Pc-cillin internet security picked this virus "troj_Dloader N.A p9hEPQkbj.exe" and quarantined them. I got this pop saying what I want to do, to close, quarantine or stop and not sure what I should do I click on close. Can I safely delete them from my log? I have got Pc-cillin Internet security, spybot, ccleaner and microsoft antispyware, whatelse can I do and how do I stop this. I have noticed the internet connection cut off when this happens. I will follow your advice and try to scan again with sypbot. I know, they are being picked up by the AV, but is there any way to get rid of it completely, it's in my c drive and I do not know how to look for it.Thanks
