I have Pc-cillin Internet Security, CCleaner on my new PC. Spywareblaster will load but installation cannot be completed for some unknown reason. I am a bit concerned, I just got a pop saying silent call has been blocked and my internet connection was cut off suddenly. Earlier when I was browsing the dailymail website, I got this pop up saying this call is not free, you will be charged international rate, yes or no." I did not know what to do and I clicked no, I hope I have done the right thing. My bt modem is locked. Please, what's happening, do I need other protection? I used to have sypbot and search and spywareblaster on my old pc. Thanks

download the free official microsoft anti spyware
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=321CD7A2-6A57-4C57-A8BD-DBF62EDA9671&displaylang=en
accept the real time protection and updates it offers, then when installed do a full scanEx forum ambassador

don't enable "teatime" on spybot
can't understand why is clashes with your antvirus....you only get problems with 2 antivirus
you can also try ewido from www.ewido.net
I use Ms antispyare, Ewido, Spybot and Ad-aware on my Xp Pc with no problems, I just run them in rotation once in a whileEx forum ambassador

Very strange, my Pc-cillin was doing an upate and I got this pop up saying your av is turned off and clilcked on this button to turn it on and before I had time to react, the pop up disappeared. Also av detected a wrom, spyware and quarantined it, that's two I have got and have only the computer last week. This new computer seems to be infected more quickly than the oldone. Thanks again for your help.0

i noticed you didnt mention firewall in the first post. if this is because you forgot to mention it, all well and good. if its because you havent got a firewall, get a firewall!!!!!!!!!!.. its as important as having a antivirus, essential to all computers0

My Pc-cillin has got a firewall. Do I need to install another one? Despite all these, I am still getting pop up about silent call and when this hapens, my internet connection is cut off. Do not understand why I have got BT modem locked activated on my PC? If anybody can suggest anything else I could do to protect my PC, I would be grateful.0

yeah, your pccillin firewall should do the job, you dont need another one. my guess is that you have a dialer installed on your PC. try to scan your computer with spybot s&d and PCcillin whilst in safe-mode. (restart and keep tapping F8. then select "safe mode" when prompted to.
if all fails, do a system-restore... (start > programs > accessories > system tools) and restore to a date before your problem started.
*note, all programs you installed between now and the date you restore to will be removed. you can re-install them later if you want.0 -
