Rearward facing pushchair

  • both my litle ones preferred facing forwards too (another ugly mum here then ...pdoff ..lol (oh and ive been there too ..talking to a little snorer)

i felt a lot safer when at a young age I had them looking at me when we were out, but as they got older they preferred to see where the were going (bit like being sat on a train or in a taxi i guess ? ? ) we used the teutonia y2k system which could also be switched either way, but again that is an expensive model you use from birth. good luck in your quest.
  • A lot of discussion about which way baby should face - I beleive that facing parent sometimes and forward facing other times surely gives a balance. Th Stokke Xplory allows this but is quite tricky to track down. read more about the Stokke forward and rear facing buggy at the Pushchchair Guide

I dont think you can get a light weight rearward facing buggy :(

lots of 2 in 1 pram / pushchairs which can be both front & rearward facing ,the M&P venezia isnt too big / heavy

I used an old Silver Cross one that could face either way. Kept them happy whichever mood they were in.
One day I might be more organised...........

my 3rd is due in the next couple of weeks, and I had a mom facing for my other 2. I have trawled shops, internet etc and there seems to be only 2 current models that face mom and forward.

These are the silvercross linear freeway http://www.kiddisave.co.uk/product_info.php/cPath/21_29/products_id/325

    and the loola

links are to my local stockist, but will give you an idea of prices / designs.
  • 2 of my friends have had a rear facing pushchair.

One was a silver cross and the other friend had a jane(not sure of models). Good for first 2 months, but both babies had pram rage and wanted to be looking forward....HTH. They spent around £500 plus each.

I bought a maclaren Techno from the start(ok for newborn). It cost £120. It's interesting that most Mummies of my group have gone on to buy this/similar within a few months, after spending loads on a fancy system-baby not liking rear facing, too heavy, impractical generally..so this is something you might want to consider. They now wish they hadn't forked out loads initially for a pram which is now not used so much.

Good luck. I know the pushchair debate is a big thing, but think cost/practicality/where & how you will use it/think longer term too:D

  • Hi, just wanted to share this with everyone...

Check out you local free ads.

Bought a Bebe Confort Loola today after seeing it in the paper last night.

    £20!!!!!

It is in fab condition and already my 16 month old thinks it's fab to look at mummy! There really are bargains out there. The lady I bought this off, 'just has a thing about pushchairs,' and had 5 different ones to sell!! :j
