Ah Sar, what happened sweets? (((hugs)))
Ste-there is a girl on MB who's hair I loooove. She dyes it proper BRIGHT red/ginger and I have always loved it-not sure it would suit me though...
DD, GET THE TREE UP! lolEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Sorry to hear that IA. I know from experience that being told nothing's gonna happen can rip your guts out.
My advice: drop the kids at dads and get round your mates for a good old fashioned girly night in (with half a case of Lambrini!)0 -

Tree update: still not up
and waste perfectly good mince pies?
I've had a tree related incident today as well. Last night my lights (around 12 years old) started to go a bit mad and were either almost off, or flickered really fast. They were revived last year when I managed to get some replacement bulbs but they do seem to have had it now. I bought a new set from Haskins (paper lantern style) but haven't put them anywhere, so I took the broken set off and put the new ones on. It's not easy doing that on a fully decorated tree!"Stay Wonky":D

It's a horrible feeling, I know Sar
There is someone I 'know' who I know I can never have other than meeting a couple of times a year and I have decided to deliberately stay out of contact now as it has been nearly 10 years of having some kind of delusion of a fairytale ending, which is never going to happen and I've known all along would never happen but it is hard to completely admit (I know some of you know who I mean).

I don't like mince pies so consider them pretty good ammo
I don't like Christmas cake either, or Christmas pud
but fear not I make up for this with sausage rolls, and yule log
BB the paper lantern ones sound very nice, and yes I can picture the struggle! As a kid we always seemed to forget the lights and have to take everything off and start again :rolleyes:0 -
I just feel so stupid. I just should've kept my big mouth shut and stopped kidding myself that anyone would really want me... talk about delusional.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
