You have a PM moo2moo!!
Ive just sat and listed another 20 things on Ebay, god its boring. Felt like giving up the will to live part way through! A few make uppy type items so hopefully they will sell well.
I ordered some flowers to be delivered to my friend who had the op, I got them from Next and used Topcashback to get 8% cashback, yay! Not MSE that i put them onto my Next account but I will pay it straight off on 15th honest!!
Need to book a Traveldoge for 1 night so will also do that through Topcashback, only 2% but better than nothing.
See you all later!Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

get knitting, I will buy some easter chick and pay postage Pipsmum. Boo to NHS, my grandad has Parkinsons and has been in and out of hospital recently. Twice they nearly killed him cos he shakes that much he cannot feed himself or give himself a drink. He gets water infections if he does not drink enough as he has a cathetar. They were dumping his food and drink on the tray and it was still there from breakfast and lunch when we arrived in the evening. When we complained they said they were not there to feed him or give him a drink - its downright torture and they should be shot.
I listed lots of books on Amazon, not done it before and most have sold. I have made £102 already but I cannot have the money for 14 days. Oh well will stop me spending it! xx0 -
As i nurse i am horrified at all these stories and actually makes me glad to work in a care home (even though its looked down upon) we get so many peeps from hospital on supplements, pureed diet, told they need feeding and are losing weight, yet eat normal food in great amounts and put weight on after a week with us!!!!! And it is the job of the staff at the hospital to make sure they are eating and drinking enough..........if not that in itself can make them even poorlier!!!! only today i spent half an hour with a lady giving her just 100ml water.....................she is slowly improving but would have died if she was in hospital. we dont have more time than them, we just make time.
ok, stepping off my soap box now..........................sorry:o
well done on all your ebay stuff!!!!!!

Spend well done on the Amazon sales, you can claim it earlier than the 14 days. If you go into your seller account somewhere it says payments and an option is something like release disimbursement.
Rags I am glad as a professional you agree. It is their job and I know they have a lot of patients to care for but even so. They didnt even open the bottle of supplement for her, ironically it was called "forsips" Im sure it was for sips but she couldnt sip it!! As you say the lady you helped would have died were she in our hospital! My friend has been released and is doing much better at home she even managed some soup today.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Totally digressing, but after reading about Ragz working inthe home, a wonderful job you do.
Years ago, mum worked as a carer, and theres 2 stories that stick in my mind.
There was one resident who enjoyed a tipple or three, so he was allowed 1 drink of whisky in the evening, and the measure was 2 fingers up the glass, all the staff on the unit mum worked on, wondered why he only wanted this one carer to get his whisky, if she wasn't working, he would moan.
One night mum and another lady popped their head round the door when this woman was doing the whisky round, yes she was measuring two fingers, but upwards rather than around the glass!!
The Soap Man
For some reason mum ended up bathing a gentleman off another unit, a couple of the staff said you need plently of soap, this gentleman said oh their only teaseing, just take the one bar in.
She washed him bar that area, she told him he could do that himself, he told her he'd lost the soap, she puts her hand in the bath and he saying no over here, over here.....leave it for ur imagination!!xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Dirty old man!! Love the whiskey story, no wonder he wanted her to pour it!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Im getting really frustrated today with Ebay or rather Ebayers! I need anoher pair of jeans so i thought I would look on Ebay as I wouldnt need to "pay" for them as it could come straight out of my Ebay sales money. I keep getting outbid in the last few seconds and losing by 20 -50p its soooooooo annoying!
I did get a duvet for Pips cot for £3.75 and a pair of Clarkes shoes for him for £2. He is able to walk but still wants the comfort of you holding him even if its just by the fingers! I figured I might as well get him some shoes now but didnt see the point of paying a lot for them as he will be outgrown them in a month or 2. He has got mammoth feet so got size 5E but dont understand what the letters mean after? Mums?Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

The letters are for the width fitting. E is standard, I would recommend getting his feet measured, then you know his width. All mine had skinny feet. HTH
