Snapfish cancelled my order

I am sooooo mad- after ordering on 14th December and taking ages to put together a calender for my mum and mother in law- they have today cancelled it- with no explanation, and no apology! The order was with some photos and they sent through the photo part as being shipped out today (which may be too late) but when I checked on the site for these I noticed the calendar has today been cancelled!!!!

What am I going to do? I have no gift for the parents now and no time to get anything!

How bad is this company? I will NEVER use them again- they have now spoilt christmas as mum looks forward to this calendar and, although I was later this year due to having a baby, I was well within the time for ordering calendars.

How can you rely on a company to deliver when they do this to people?

My dad had a heart attack 2 months ago and there were photos of him in the army and things for him that I thought may cheer him up- what do I do now!

I literally have nothing for them- I am soooooo upset!!!!

Who can I contact to scream at- any ideas?

Sorry to moan folks but I have never been so upset about someone as the gift was really important to me!

  • Not much help but have you checked any spam/junk email folders you have in case they have tried to contact you about the order problem but you just haven't seen the email? (I speak from experience on this).
  • Oh and they are only open Monday to Friday 9-5 so they have cancelled the order at the last minute on the last day- thanks alot snapfish
  • Thanks Ivory tinkler- checked these folders yep haven't deleted mail for days so has the chance to check through lots in case (I did check the account yesterday though and it was still saying there it was being shipped- should have realised then)- thanks though!

    I have a credit for 50 photos in my account now though- as if 50 free photos was ever going to make up for this massive error/mistake/spoiling of presents! Don't even know what its for though!
  • Is there an ombudsman I can complain to or a Director address for Snapfish as they promised me a service, a service I spent 10 nights preparing by scanning old photos etc. and they didn't deliver!

    They should have told me they couldn't deliver a week ago and I could have ordered it somewhere else!

    Any ideas for who to take this further with?

    You can still order a collage calendar from Photobox, last date 21st, I know it's not what you really wanted, but would it do for xmas day and the 'real' one to follow?

    Could you get the calendar on the high street at somewhere like Klick Photo shops or Boots or Jessops etc?

    I would try and get out and do that today so you get something in time for Christmas, and complain to Snapfish once you're sorted.

    Hope you get something for your parents.

    Having a look on Photobox now as was going to write a note in the present that I would get something and say "to follow" and do one for the new year so this collage one would be better than nothing and probably ideal for the mother-in-law- thanks for the suggestions folks! Couldn't get anything on the high street but thanks for the suggestion!

    Anyone any ideas about where to complain to- got an e-mail today saying that it had been:
    "received, reviewed and forwarded to our advanced level support staff for a solution. They will be in touch with you as soon as possible."

    I don't know what they can do to resolve this at this stage but I will wait and see, unless they are just buying time until I calm down or something- trust me I will never calm down about this!!!!

    Lidl were selling plain black photo calendars about 2 weeks ago, even came with the stickers to fix the photos. £2.99
  • Could you not make a calender yourself? I did one for my mum this year.
    Printed out the months etc, and glued them onto card with some photos, then got it bound at Staples for about £4.

  • They have eventually sent me a non-related e-mail telling me my order was cancelled- not a reply to my complaint or any answer to that or anything or what they are intending to do about it they just sent this as though it was supposed to be sent Friday:

    Dear Snapfish user,


    We have experienced a problem processing your recent order ????????. Due to a technical issue in our system, we are temporarily unable to access some of your photos and can not fulfil your order at this time. We have cancelled this order. Please allow 3-5 business days for your refund to process.

    We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience, and to show our appreciation for your understanding we have issued 50 free 6x4" mail order print credits to your Snapfish account, which you can redeem at any time in the future.

    If you would like to recreate this order right away, please re-upload the images for that order and use those new images in creating your new order.


    I could understand as errors occur but they had this long enough and my telephone number so they could have ohoned me and asked me to send some more or even given me the option of sending it late as I still really want it as I worked so hard on it and have told family what ahs happened and they want it still but I don't think I should as can make one with another company rather than let them off with it!!!!

    Or is it me? Any luck on anyone knowing the director details?
