I won a years free broadband with PlusNet which expires this month.
As its a rolling monthly contract i can cancel at 30days notice or start paying again.
The cost to remain would be 19.55/month which i think can be beat but i'm just not sure who is giving the best deals at present.
I am unfortunately out of the O2 broadband network so its ruled out.
Recently had Sky + installed and got Sky Talk Freetime with free line rental for 12months so won't be changing phone deal.
They offered their broadband for £17/month but i have heard it isn't great.
PS PlusNet have been faultless over the 3 years i have been with them and i would recommend them to anyone, its just the monthly cost i want to change.

£17 per month would point to BT Connect which means Sky has not got its own equipment in your exchange, do you know who is in your exchange?0

i knew sky dont offer their base mid and max ranges in my area and the 17 was for sky connect which i wouldnt be interested in.0 -

i got the following
Congratulations, you are in a broadband enabled area.
However, there is another service on your phone line (e.g. ADSL, LLU, DACS, etc) that would prevent you from ordering a new ADSL connection.
The following services are available in your location:
BT Wholesale ADSL
BT Wholesale ADSL Max
O2 / Be LLU
what does that mean?0 -
It just means it's checked your phone line and seen that it's already got ADSL. The best you can get is the "LLU" it means either cheap broadband or very fast broadband.
As for O2 / BE LLU:
IF you have an O2 mobile you can get a discount when you get O2's Home broadband.
If not then you can try BE There they offer cheap broadband at your exchange for £13.50 month for upto 8Mb (no download limit) or £17.50 for upto 24Mb (unlimited download).Laters
