You should know since u received the parcel?!
If u have a problem tell amazon.0 -
I have to butt in here...
I have ordered alot with Amazon, not just this Christmas but throughout the year - and for many years now.
The orders mostly come via Royal Mail, never a problem, excellent service. But then the postmen round here do seem to be good, thorough and consciencious.
Personally I always feel 'safe' using Amazon as I have used them for years.
However, OP - if you have a problem, it sounds like it is an issue with your local post office and I would take it up with them. It doesn't sound like a fault with Amazon - but I am sure that they would also be interested to hear what is happening in your area. But please don't tar all the posties with the same brush.... the guys round here are greatGenie

Just checked my email confirmation and it says "shipped via Royal Mail".
I want to complain about this, because it has happened several times.
If this happens again I am going to ensure the said package gets 'stolen' - that'll teach them.
I would check your package.
I thought that RM no longer delivered Amazon 2nd class and have found this article.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6768983.stm
What postage information does it state on the front of the package? Does it have a big 2 in the top right hand corner in black with "postage paid" under it?
I think you need to check directly with amazon who delivered your package before you blame people.
Does this happen with purchases from other retailers or just from amazon?0 -
All of my super saver deliveries this year have been been 2nd class parcel.
If you want to complain, you need to complain to Royal Mail NOT amazon. I dont see how its Amazons fault that your posty / whichever posty is stupid enough to leave things on the doorstep.Green and White Barmy Army!0 -
I have received several Amazon packages recently and I think they have been delivered by CityLink and Home Delivery Network. HDN, true to form, lobbed the package over my back gate where it sat in the rain for several hours. Luckily it was only a plastic oil drain pan but they really are a bunch of cretins.0

Well I ordered a text book from Amazon to help me revise for my exams in January over the xmas hols thought it should have been here by now so went on Amazon and checked order status and it said it was sent by HDN and had been delivered on the 17th, only it hasn't. Last week my Boots order was supposedly delivered by HDN however again I never received it, so tonight I phoned HDN to see what had happened and why my parcels were missing. I gave my tracking numbers and the guys checked the system and my book is marked as being left in secure space at the front, only there is no secure area at the front of the house its a communal path and a communal green, there are no fences, no sheds, no bins, no secure place to leave anything. The person I spoke to on the phone also confirmed it was the same driver for both my boots order and Amazon order. Which is a little suss to me. It wouldn't be difficult for someone to knock on the door as there is always someone in at home. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
