My contract with BT expired so I asked them for my MAC saying I was thinking of changing supplier. I was previously paying £24.99 for broadband and £11.50 line rental. After asking for my MAC I was offered the same broadband for £15.49 and £8.50 for my line rental. They also gave me the new BT hub and phone for free, which had been offered me previously at 49.99.
The reason companies do this is to keep you as a customer, but if they can save you £13 a month to keep you, why not just lower the prices to start with?

...because (like me) if you're an o2 customer and want to leave BT you can get FREE broadband from o2 for 12months! It also came with free wireless router. They couldn't beat that unfortunately...:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things.
