what cheap nappies are as good as pampers?

I had 3 in nappies too (now just have two) and we found that tescos are as good as pampers but I always look at the price per nappy on special offers and buy pampers if they are cheaper as the paper doesn't seem quite so rough. I tried Huggies too but they did not suit the shape of the babies' bottoms...0

I found tesco newborn ones excellent, and cheap (under £3 a pack!) shops here only sell pampers and huggies, but when I go to a big town I try to stock up on ALDI nappies as they are excellent, as good as pampers any day.0

i dont like value ones, but asda and tesco own brand ones are fab, i didnt like pampers though0

I loved Aldi's nappies, but found it very difficult to get there.
Sainsbury own (not value) are quite good, and they have pictures of animals on the front (at least in the 4+ size) - a mixture so some nappies in a pack will have a bunny, some a duck, some a cat etc and I am pointing those out to my little bear.
Also, I have seem some superb offers at Nettos on occasion and pampers always seem to be on offer at Sainsburys.
I do have to say that I used to use Huggies, Aldis were better and Sainsbury just a smidgeon under.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
thank you all:)0

I used to find that babies and nappies were all shaped differently, and some nappies fit better than others etc. Until you find a cheaper nappy you are happy with why not keep Pampers for nighttime, and try cheaper ones through the day?
I did this with DS2 and it did save some money, as I knew at least we wouldn't get any mid-night disasters to interrupt our sleep.
It's only a game

My DS drinks tons of liquids during the day, and we use huggies and Sainsburys brand and are happy with them both.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

I agree with taking into account babies shape and size. With eldest one day at mums and tots group I was discussing nappies with several other mums who all had children same age as mine and every single one raved about huggies over pampers. I had had opposite problem of huggies leaking. I looked over at the children and noticed mine was a different shape to their children. With dd I could use just about anything on her, and liked tesco nappies.0

Im using tescos (green pkt) size 5 on my GS and they are as good as the pampers - if you remember to change him oops
Hes two and needs about 5 changes a day. his night time one holds it all till morning - and no nappy rash0 -
I used Pampers on DD until she was 2.
She's on pull ups and I have nappys for nighttime too, I use asda's pullups and I buy a pack of Lidls Toujours.
I wouldn't reccomend the lidls pullups to anyone, one pee and they swell up at the front and feel awfully thin. Wouldn't dare use them on a night!0
