i have just purchased a new pc and i am trying to use the internet through bt yahoo (seperate program to internet explorer) although it will not let me login - message pops up saying unable to connect to server please try later. It has all been loaded using the original cd and i have checked with bts status line and mine is fine....any ideas, at the mo i am using internet explorer

If you are using a router and have connected your new PC via the ethernet port, the BTYahoo software doesn't work... The software is intended for people who run their computer from the USB port of the router which creates unnecessary problems...
I made this mistake when I got my first BTYahoo router...0 -
no tiger matt its working now on the ethernet, it was the norton stuff, i just said allow/yes to all the pop ups and its now working thanks browntoa
edit: it worked on my lappy on the ethernet too for over 6 months (bt say use the ethernet too) and bt supplier the router :rolleyes: typical0
