I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

If you are using a router and have connected your new PC via the ethernet port, the BTYahoo software doesn't work... The software is intended for people who run their computer from the USB port of the router which creates unnecessary problems... :(

I made this mistake when I got my first BTYahoo router... :)
  • no tiger matt its working now on the ethernet, it was the norton stuff, i just said allow/yes to all the pop ups and its now working thanks browntoa :)

edit: it worked on my lappy on the ethernet too for over 6 months (bt say use the ethernet too) and bt supplier the router  typical
