I can never believe how crazy supermarkets get at christmas, it's like they're going to be closed for a month! My parents always used to go out at about 7am before christmas to avoid the rush, I'm really not a morning person though so rather them than me. I'm working til the 24th but I think they're planning to let us go early.
    Finally bought a home

Well I have had a very chilled day today. Just been lying round watching films and stuff all day on TV, has been nice though.

Have just been a bit naughty as well and bought a ticket (a bit over the normal price) to see the X Factor tour in Feb with one of my best friends. We were both gutted Joe didn't get the number one, think he is a great singer. I have paid on the credit card and the bill won't come till Feb so will pay off half the ticket with this months pay and half with next. It should be fun anyway!

Had an OK last couple of days at work and am off now till next Wednesday yay! Had a couple of mojitos after work which was very nice. Poor OH was at work till 4 am last night and then had to go in again this morning (not till 12 though). Made him a nice breakfast as feel sorry for him.

Today I have been doing some washing. I also went to the shop and got a few bits and OH a selection pack. Then I came back and wrapped the last few bits up and packed the wii ready to go to my parents tomorrow. I will probably pack later or tomorrow morning.

Hope everyone is having a nice few days before christmas.
  • Hi Wendz,

Sounds like you have had a nice relaxing day, shame about your OH working so much, i know very well what that 's like lol. I need to do all my wrapping later on tonight or tomorrow morning, joy!

    Have a nice evening.

Hope everyone had a great christmas. Mine was great and got some nice presents from OH, a sat nav and also Zara vouchers so I am looking forward to spending them. My parents also got me New Look vouchers. I think I may have a shopping day on Tuesday. I also got DVDs, make up, lots of smellies etc.

We went to see OHs family yesterday and today and his little nieces have got lots of nice presents and liked ours as did all his sisters and Mum. Also went round one of my friends today so has been nice catching up with people.

I haven't been to the sales but bought a new duvet online from Debenhams reduced from £120 to £36 which I thought was good. Is a bigger one as OH gets cold feet with just the double.

I am hopefully going to start getting myself organsied in the next couple of days and start doing some dooyoo etc again.

  • Hi. Glad you had a lovely Christms Wendz. Just a shame its all over with so quickly. All the stress and prep and its gone before you know it.

That duvet sounds like a bargain, i had a look online yesterday but couldn't see anything which jumped out at me, think i was to late.

Good idea about reviewing all your gifts, that should get you up to the 50 mark.

Enjoy your days off and New Year chick.

I know it is a shame it is over but time to get organised!

I have actually managed to do a dooyoo review today, first time in a month. If I do one every day for the next week then I should be able to redeem for the 50 pound cheque. I really want to get myself debt free so that id we find a flat we can move in with only the flat costs and not paying off other debt. Hopefully we will start looking in the next few weeks. My Mum and Dad are very kindly going to loan us the deposit if we find a flat we want so we just need to find one now!
