Hi everyone, I'm new. I think the fact that she won't send you photos is a bit suspicious. Maybe I'm cynical but I would check the feedback she has left for others to see if a lot of the things she has received have turned up "broken". Do not refund without getting the item back first, even if paypal find in her favour, they will expect her to return the item by trackable means before requiring you to refund. The only reason to refund early would be if you thought she would not leave you a neg feedback, but as she has not communicated at all, I would think feedback is a lost cause.Started Comping 25th September 2013.

As a fairly regular buyer of Lego, I think it depends on how you packaged it. I feel very differently about a seller who packs it inside a strong cardboard box, compared with the optimists who think a Jiffybag will get it there unscathed (it won't!).0

She wants a refund of £5.00 because the box was damaged and £4.00 for postage.
Should i just pay her this and get it over with.
How much did the set sell for? A request for a partial refund is suspicious in my opinion, as obviously she doesn't want to send it back. It depends how much £9 is worth to you. If it was me I would not refund partially as she will prob leave you neg anyway and you will be down £9 with not even broken lego to show for it. I have never heard of paypal enforcing a partial refund, has anyone? I thought they always ask the buyer to return the item and then you have to refund. I would suggest that if she's innocent she will send the item back and fair enough if its damaged as she said refund of course, but if she's dodgy she won't send it back at all. Besides if you do give her the £9 is there anything to stop her coming back for the full amount?Started Comping 25th September 2013.

She has a habit of leaving feedback for people saying she never received it or it was broken or that it was fake.0

Bingo! I'd definitley wait and see what happens with the paypal claim then, there is nothing to gain from refunding early before paypal say you have to, as she will prob think nothing of leaving you negative either way.Started Comping 25th September 2013.

Dont do anything unless Paypal say so, shes opened adispute, all you need to do is reply to the claim, explain the situation, have you got a copy of her emails. you could offer them to paypal.
If paypal want her to return the item, then the cost is at her own pocket, paypal wont refund her, nor will you for the postage.
Also if you have to claim from Post Office, they dont refund the actual postage paid, but you just show what you charged the seller for the total, (print the paypal receipt) and that should cover your postage.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Starting to look like a serial complainer looking for a partial. You know that if it does come back it will be virtually unsaleable so you have to decide whether you are open to blackmail.
Personally I would stand my ground and wait until PayPal issue you with instructions.0 -
I refused her claim and posted on Paypal that i asked her for a photo of the damage which she has refused to send me.I then received an email from her claiming that i was not interested in talking to her before so she would just leave it up to Ebay.
Which is a lie i have emailed her loads of times trying to sort this out because it is doing my head in.0
