No lose wires.. No loose Card card not touching PC case and shorting out
just make sure of all connections inside and why not take out card and re-seat.

Is reseating the graphics card easy... i.e. is it plug and play?

Pretty easy and the drivers are freely available but you shouldnt need them
because they are already on yer PC..

Unplug Power supply and any other leads.. mouse keybpoard etc.etc.

Earth yourself, rub summet metal and dont walk about
on the carpet for ages before doing the below.

Its just a case of taking PC cover off and then removing one screw
for the graphics card and then gently ease out card then replace
and then fit screw back in then replace cover.

If yer not confident dont bother.

    Its just a PCI card.
  • Have you updated the graphics card driver recently? If so it could be that.

Even if you think you haven't, there is a possibility that Windows Update has automatically done it. Try starting your computer up in safe mode and seeing if the problem still persists

    This may be relevant..

I'd double check (or turn off) all the power management settings on the PC, to rule out APM as the cause.
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?
