Just spoke to a job agency and they asked how confident am I with spreadsheets, Do I confess to having my own budget on excel which I update daily? :rotfl:

Loan company have written to me asking me to increase my payments, which I said really cant at the moment. They even tried to trick me into giving my phone number

I went to the corner shop and bought TV guide and phone credit......and nothing else, I feel so proud of myself :j

    Lets have a party!

Just the usual load of little things for me:

    Quidco free clicks (10p woohoo!)
Free scratchcard (and again, 10p woohoo!)
Transferred £1 into my virtual sealed pot

Other than that been badly behaved and bought lunch, had to pick up a birthday card and was terrified by the current price of stamps. Since when has a not particularly expensive card and 12 stamps cost over £7?!

Paul if you want to freeze brussels you need to blanch them first ( cook in boiling water for few minutes) this stops them going manky, or cook them completely and then freeze.;)

    Thanks for that info Sophiesmum.
I'm sure I must be the only person in the world that didn't know that :D .
Lesson learned. While we are on this subject, are there any other things that should be cooked before freezing please?

    Hello all!

I heard this was where the party was banana.gif

Late post from me this morning, but I was running around like a mad thing trying to get ready for work when the thread started, and posting would have made me late :D As it was I got a seat on the bus for the first time in weeks!

    So, today I have/will do:
    • Washing people566.gif Done on 30 and hung on airer (No tumble dryer!)
    • Checked online banking - you will see on my own wee thread, I get paid tomorrow and have cleared loads of overdraft this month so yay!
    • Bought no tea/coffee at work, just used my flask!
    • Made my own lunch and brought to work with me
    • Store cupboard dinner - cheese on toast :D Nom nom nom
    • Checked wageslip online in preparation for payday tomorrow - getting £30 more than I thought due to long-forgotten overtime!
    • Christmas card from t'other half's dad & stepmum, £50 cheque for my Christmas - Woo!
    Spends for the day

I was hoping for a NSD, but t'other half wants crackers for Christmas! Half price in Boots - Reduced to £4 minus the VAT discount, but can't remember how much they were and have misplaced the receipt!

WH Smith - half price photo frame for SIL (£7.49), two packets of candy canes :D twin pack of big Galaxy bars (£1.50) packet of Christmas cards for colleagues and a big Pukka Pad project notebook for my new DFW ways. Total cost? 55p :D I had a £20 voucher to spend!

My notebook has sections, with wallets I can use for receipts! I can't wait for payday - for once not to spend money but to note down my savings!

Longest post ever? Have a lovely evening all!

*edit* and I made £15.11 in PADs today!
