When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today I will:

            Morning!
Eleven hours until my Christmas party, fifteen and a half hours until payday and one more get-up before my Christmas break starts (although after tonight, it might be the hardest get-up of the year!)
My list today is a bit boring:- Checked bank. It needs to be fed some wages
- Checked for surveys.
- Storecupboard breakfast and dinner.... tea paid for by work at the Hilton tonight with wine also paid for
- Make sure everything is easy to find in the morning when I am no doubt feeling "tired and emotional".

            Hello everyone
Secret santa day at work today so have brought in my present (the Cath Kidston 'Make' book, should have been £14.99 but got for £4.99 on thebookpeople.com, so within £5 budget!)
Made salad from fridge for lunch, shouldn't need tea as having secret santa snacks at 4pm (I'm contributing cheese and pineapple on sticks, how 70s!)
Checked online banking, £7 has come in from my friend who bought a spare xmas present from me, so £4 of that into virtual sealed pot - £155 now
Claimed £15 from Paypal (owed from Getpoundsback from June, only just got paid!) Will all be going into virtual sealed pot when it comes into bank.
Checked CC online, they have reduced my credit limit to £350 as I requested, will try to get down to £300 next month.
Checked for Quidco, Pigsback and Lightspeed - nothing, 45 points added, nothing. Signed up for Enjoy England newsletter so should have another 30 Piggypoints soon.
Not much else, have good days all!0

Paid another £1 to a credit card. However, had to throw away about 30pence of food. I froze some fresh brussels then stored them in the fridge. They absolutely stank this morning and were soggy. I wouldn't risk them in my guts. Seems like I shouldn't have frozen them maybe. I'm not too used to home cooking like this but I thought most things could be frozen.
 Ah well. Such is life.0

Hope you get an attack of the sparkles Sophiesmum that'd wipe out any lurgy that was daring to lurk!
So good to see you back Fay don't worry about not having a Christmas party, quite often they're not all they're cracked up to be. The only exception being Norton Blade's!
Never mind about the sprouts Paul, they're not always that great even when they've been frozen properly....:rotfl:
Why don't we have a virtual party on this thread before Christmas??
Might have to do a list like mbaz, I'm not good at these lists...
Still not better, spoke to my boss and he didn't sound pleased that I'm not back at work, decidedly off-hand. I tried to explain (even though I have very little voice) about nearly keeling over if I stand up too long, but he wasn't interested. Am now really worried for my job...
I'm making dough in the bm, will try to make rolls, never done them before. Other than that will check banking and adjust spreadsheet. Missing horse horribly and exex a little bit...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
Total debt today: £0 - debt and mortgage free 29th November 2013 :T
