Make money from vending machines - I do

Thought I'd suggest small vending machines as a way to earn a little or a lot extra. I started with 5 , 3 years ago and now have 300 and earn a very good living.
the best ones to start with are 20p minstrel machines. They can be picked up for about £30 on ebay.
If you work somewhere with as staff room put it in there and give 20% to chosen charity/tea fund.
A typical machine will take £10-12 a month of which 50% is profit. If you have enough contacts you could put ten machines out there for £300 and earn £50 quid a month from then on.

I am interested in this as well, can you tell me how you arranged with places to get your vending machines inside, how do you keep them secure, are they locked/chained to things? I have seen you can buy the big bags of minstrels (3.6kg) Is this what you used to fill them?0

im very interested in this too, where do you put your vending machines? do you ring up businesses and ask to put your machine there?
any info would be greatly appreciated xx0 -
hi all
i started with just a few machines and have massively expanded it buying a few other companies out. I do pubs clubs and smaller places. I have toy machines, tubz machines, misntrels, condoms, all sorts.
I cold call in person with a machine full of minstrels - it costs about £13 to fill a machine of which about £25 comes back. Jelly beans are bigger margin. £7 to fill it, same return. You have two options. You can offer 20% to the owner and suggest he use it as a tea fund/christmas fund, or he could give it to hius favourite charity.
If you ask 10 sites you will probably get 2 to 3 sites. Always say no contract your not tied in. Try it for a month. In my experience the following are great sites;
taxi offices
tyre fitters
large offices
garages
staffrooms
If youre not confident site finding yourself advertise for someone on a commission only basis, say £20 a site.
there are franchises out there but i would generally avoid them as they stuff you on teh price of the machine.clear 15000 by xmas. ......June 26th 08, [strike]

i dont lock them. I worked out the cosy of a chain an lock for all of them outweighs the cost it would save you. Ive only lost a few out of 300clear 15000 by xmas. ......June 26th 08, [strike]

not in my experience. I started 3 years ago and now have 300 of all sorts. Virtually every business could have some sort of machine . Also little rounds are always coming up on ebay for not much more than the second hand cost of the machines. There are a few in scotland on there nowclear 15000 by xmas. ......June 26th 08, [strike]
