Hi all any info please on the best PAYG as my son's orange contract is now up they are going to send him a new sim card to use the PAYG option, but he uses his phone mostly in the eve, after work and for texting. Any ideas as to the best deal for his use, by the way he just had this mths, bill and he has used up all all his free mins, which was 1000 + text and still managed to use another £100 on just calls without the line rental etc.
This was due to a new girlfriend + forgetting how long he was chatting so it was correct as we checked all the calls.
Any help please cheers woodkitten

pah this kid should not have a phone!!!
my sis has the off peak 1000 tariff on orange and she still goes over, but not by much as shes terrified at the idea of phone bills 150+ as i did when my partner was at uni across the country.
do you pay his phone bill? you need to force him to take responsibility for his phone bill, possibly leaving him to his own devices to find a good PAYG deal. maybe checkout the o2 people (i think its o2) the guys who do Ufix to keep control of the bills.:A Boots Tart :A0 -
Orange PAYG Are in my opinion the best. They are always giving their customers good deals (such as the free orange - orange calls for 5 years) thay also have talk and text bundles that bring a text price down to 3p and always give a bonus top up every month. I left Virgin to join orange a year ago and wish I had of done it sooner! If i helped in any way feel free to press thanks !

Vodafone PAYG is expensive in the day on the smartplus plan but you can setup 'stop the clock' for free and only pay 3 minutes for calls up to an hour to any network off-peak (5p a min same network or landline, 35p cross network – without a call add-on that makes x net calls around 15p). I use Orange prepay for calls in the day and voda eves and weekends. Off peak on voda is from 7:30 in the evenings and all weekend. I got my vodafone sim for about £5 in the vodafone shop and I think the number to set-up stop the clock is: 08080 125 1260

I'm on Orange PAYG, and I pay £15 a month and receive 3000 free evening and weekend texts. I use the £15 on calls, as I do the majority of my texting during the 'free' time. Plus, if you top-up by £10 a month, you also get free evening Orange to Orange calls.Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!
