Virgin CC are definitely corrupt. They make it deliberately difficult to make your payments and then are very quick to send the fines for late payment. They also never tell you that the 0% has been revoked, you just have to notice yourself when your next bill comes in. This all happened to me not once but twice (2 months running) when neither time it was my fault. I immediately cancelled the card and moved to a proper credit card provider (Egg). Avoid Virgin, Avoid MBNA.
Actually, the end of my 0% appeared on my virgin statement and it was clearly shown online was well. I found them really good and only closed my account as I got a 9 month 0% MBNA and transferred my credit to that card

  • Well, this happened to me - I wasn't sent my first statement - I rang and pleaded - luckily they gave the 0% back - but not the late payment fine which still shows interest - leaving them soon...

A similar thing happened to me - I pleaded and managed to get back on the 0% rate and payed the fine. As soon as my Egg anniversary came around again a few months later I moved the balance back to Egg.
