    And I stole it from HSbowdown.gif SM:D .
I'm feeling good: I've achieved everything on my list today. Kitchen now drying and I can do final coat tomorrow. 2 major cabinet doors have the undercoat on. And I wrote for an hr: the most I've done at one go in a year. And all the undercoats were from old tins I found in the attic so haven't had to spend anymore money.

Purplevamp - my lips are sealed, mainly through fear of hypocrisy as you should see what I've eaten in the last 24hrs:rotfl:. Hope you feel better soon. There's lot lot of it about round here at the mo.

Sarah - sounds a lovely sight over the sea.
Ddraig -curious about once a month cooking. Will look at your green thread later.

SF - you have a PM, sorry I wasn't on here till now.
Wow SFT you don't hang around do you! :T Well done on the offer being accepted!

    Purplevamp - get well soon!

Maltesers are medicinal? :j Does that means the slice of malteser cake with choc topping I had earlier was extra good for me? :rotfl: :j :T

Sarah147 - that sounds beautiful! If thats soppy I'm all for it! Part of my treatment was to actively try to notice/pay extra attention to some of the small stuff - things that I wouldn't normally notice or pay attention to. Its amazing the joy and simple I'm glad to be alive type feelings you can get from wee things like the smell/feel of fresh clean sheets, the colours of the leaves, the taste of an everyday piece of food if you actually pay attention to it (as opposed to inhaling while watching tv/reading/talking/typing/whatever too), the texture of a piece of clothing and feeling the breeze on your face! :D

  • Taka - you put what I felt really well. My expereince of at times extreme disabilty (though a lot better now) has taught me the same sort of thing too. So so pleased for you re your ED: that is some amazing achievement.

Off to search out some 2-4-1' vouchers as I need to take someone out to lunch on saturday

    Not quite :rotfl:

    I spent £169.30 on groceries.
Of that I spent £24.35 on Whoopsies, so £144.95 on full priced items (which includes BOGOF, B2G1F, weekly specials etc, so could be worth more than that anyway).
The TOTAL value of my groceries was £215.78 - so the real value of the Whoopsies was £70.83 (total value - what I paid full price for).

So far this month I've spent £14.75 on Whoopsies, which have a shelf value of £47.16 (the biggest saving being 7 boxes of 'chew bars' -- cereal bars -- that DS and I both eat, as do my GDs...... cost 30p/box, shelf value £1.75/box)

It took me a while to work out your system, I had to go away and get the calculator:rotfl: . I was wondering how you could be so lucky, but it is possible (if you can get by the professional whoopsie hunters).

I'll need to tell mum the truth tomorrow now.:o

On a good note, I had a NSD today and I have just made some lentil, carrot and tomato soup for lunch tomorrow. Speak soon. xx

SL - why disallusion your Mum ;)

Have had a lazy evening here too.....

Pulled out some bits to make some birthday cards, looked at the contents of the kit, and decided I couldn't be bothered :rolleyes2

So I went and watched a DVD (The No1 Ladies' Detective Agency) instead -- and pigged half a bar of plain chocolate at the same time...... both courtesy of the last day of trading at our closest Woolworths, so hugely discounted when I got them. And I settled down to watch it in the living room rather than my craft/computer/TV room too, so it was a much more chilled out feeling than normal (and no little dog begging for anything either!)

I still have a "House" DVD to watch from that clearance sale -- which I think is Series 1, but didn't check too closely given the knock down price of it

    Morning folks

    Congrats to 1274!

Things are not going too badly here, have paid another installment towards my council tax bill. What happens if I refuse to pay the court costs? (as I have a payment plan set up specifically until the end of March, I do not understand why I have been issued with a summons at the start of February?)

On the spending front, nothing going out, except essentials for petrol and postage. Have done quite well at taking my own lunch everyday, and cannot believe how much this is saving me (it helps that the canteen is hit and miss with their food, and the sandwiches are awful).

Hi, thank you for the lovely comments, I'm feeling much better today :A , still a little groggy in the head but not so bleurgh!! I do now believe that Maltesers have mystical healing powers and recommend that if anyone is feeling even the slightest bit wibbly and under the weather they should have some :rotfl: .

I was going to take DS2 and DD to the cinema today but think I'll wait until tomorrow. I have 2 free tickets to use up by the end of the month, so will only have to pay for bus fares and 1 ticket.

NSD planned for today, no dd's coming out, not leaving the house, so I can't see my purse being emptied :D .

Hope you all have a lovely day, hugs for anyone that needs them.

Have you tried the CAB, Blairweech? They can often help with debt-related stuff and some of them can give you a free half hour or so with a solicitor (or used to be able to - not sure how they do it nowadays).

Well, folks, my week has gone to pot...! My Big Meeting never took place (though it could do sometime soon) and as for the romance, the less said about that the better....though I'm having a good chuckle about it with my mates. :rotfl: Let's just say it went into a decline from which it is unlikely to recover. I feel fine, actually: amazed at how unpredictable life can be, but still very much in one piece, and besides I still have some of the chocolates. ;) Onward and upward....

    Good afternoon frugaloonies :D

This should have been a good morning message but I got disconnected, interupted, delayed and any other thing that could get in the way of posting did! Anyway, I have now caught up and am eagerly awaiting news of the arrival of Bails' puppy.

Glad to see others are using the 'highlight text' trick to spot chocolate stashes and the like :rotfl: and glad to see Purplevamp feeling better for her dose of maltesers. Loads of posts to comment on but take it as read that I'll respond appropriately and, hopefully, free from offending anyone, just as soon as I finish catching up on here. :oSF, hope you enjoyed your night of 'freedom' and sorry to hear things didn't work out with the BF, Redglass.

Blairweech, I'd contact council asap and find out what it's all about and, if it's genuine and not issued in error, I'd contact CAB. It's best never to ignore anything official or court related as it can cost much more in the long run.

I'll update this post as I go along, hopefully. :D

Second thoughts, I appear to have lost yesterday's post completely, so don't know how far back I have to catch up again!
I wonder if I put something in it that got it deleted? :o Can't think of anything at the moment, though.
