3 trying to pull a fast one?

Hi all,

for the past few months I've been using payg on tmobile whilst I waited for my contract phone to expire.

The contract was for £35/month, and since it only had 6 months left I managed to get it changed onto a lower tariff of £25.

Come today when I ring them to give them a months notice that I am cancelling, they say I can't as the contract is running until 2010!

I'm sure I would have noticed them saying this would extend it another 18 months for a sim I no longer use...

Any advice on what I can do with this?

Cheers

Jai

Is your contract with 3 or TMobile?

    its with 3 :)
  • Maybe when they lowered your tariff they started you on a new 18-month contract?
  • shouldn't they have stated that though?

They wouldn't reduce your monthly charge without wanting you to agree to taking out a new contract.

Otherwise we'd all be wanting £10 a month reduction!

Yes they would, it's in the T's and C's for my contract that I can reduce it by one step per month after month 9.
