I KNOW:eek:
Never mind the "not leading me into temptation" in the build up to Christmas - on the 1ST JANUARY 2009 they have their own advert for the "Class of 2009" - what's that all about?! Not increasing our debt for Christmas ... okay, I've done that - but, c'mon ... resisting the temptation to buy a Creme egg in January ... nope, sorry ... gotta have one of those :rotfl:
We'll do a scout about to find the best prices ... that's a fair compromise isnt it

Ooohh the getting paid early thing - I am with you on that. It is going to be a loooonnnnggg month!! We are checking the bank account everyday and watching the Direct Debits fly out leaving us with less and less!! Not sure how I am going to get to work (40 miles a day) and eat! We do budget but are finding it really tough esp after Xmas.
I also have the awful confession that we didn't cancel our o/d when starting our DMP and are now dipping into it every month. I know it is breaking the rules big time but I am now just praying CCCS don't want a copy of our bank statement at the annual review whilst we attempt to pay it off.
Hence why I can't go mad in the sales! I also was blessed with a giftcard or 2 and spent them straight away and got my 'high' from that. Just seeing the shops make FANTASTIC discounts gets me all agitated. Maybe I need to see a doctor!! Jan 2008-Paid 74% of debt as of MAR 2012 (DFD - APR 2014) DMP Support Thread Member 154  DFW Long Hauler 116:grin: Official DFW Nerd Club 928- Proud to be dealing with my debts :grin:0 -
Well I came to the conclusion over Christmas that I can't afford a new sofa from one of the never ending sales neither can we afford to go to Thomas Cook and book a holiday but I can afford a box of 6 (yep treating myself and pushing the boat out) Cadbury's Creme eggs so a DMP isn't all doom and gloom is it? :rotfl:DMP support thread member 211 :cool:I'm only here to get some medals......honest!0

Oh yes, it's going to be a very long month in our house too ... as if January doesnt feel long enough in the first place! We'll just have to keep cheering each other along on here, wont we!
We didnt have to show bank statements at the beginning or at the 6 month review so I dont think they would ask for them after a year (would they?!!) - no, I dont think they would ask but I guess it's best being on the safe side.
You dont need to see a doctor - no, no, no ... you just need more people to buy you vouchers/gift cards :rotfl: - chance would be a fine thing, wouldnt it!

Nope, no new sofa here, or kitchen, or car, or holiday ... I wish they'd quit the advertising ... I forget that I want one until I see them on the TV :rotfl:
Seriously though, what's with the prices of holidays this year anyway - can anyone really afford one? I couldnt help myself (damn  ) I just had to take a lickle peek ... "just in case" they had all magically come down in priceand I was stunned at the costings.
On the bright side, you can have "guilt free" consumption of as many Creme eggs as you like ... what with not having to worry about bikinis and all that this year
