afternoon all, i just want to say again how much help this website and the people that post on it have been to me. I felt totally alone up until a week ago when i finally decided i had to do something, so thanks again!
Anyway after having my hour long phone call last wednesday with payplan going though all the debts and everything i had a call from my case worker today and she was equally as lovely so everything i feel is heading in the right direction now. Started to send off my letter and token payments to all my creditors so just waiting for the letters and phone calls to start soon! Also received the form to sign and send back with our new basic account with natwest today. So feeling very positive for a monday! Hope everyone else is ok xxx0 -
Hiya Chjones..you are in the right place for all the support you will need.
And well done!

Just a quick query to those who are lucky (?!) enough to have Egg as one of their creditors. I've never heard anything back from Egg regarding my DMP, which I guess is a blessing, really, given that they're one of my biggest creditors. However, the flip-side to that is, I don't know how much I owe them now, since I did everything with them online and they seem to have stopped updating my online account (I can still log in, but the details are as at a few months ago).
So my question is ... how do I track the decreasing of this debt (including how do I know if interest and/or charges are still being applied), anyone tell me how they do/did it please???

Hi Althea
Egg are one of our creditors to and we never hear anything from them but if I log on to the account, although it looks like the account hasn't been updated, if I go into transaction details, it shows the most recent transaction being my dmp payment and gives an up to date balance. Hope that helps.DMP MUTUAL SUPPORT THREAD MEMBER 220LBM - JUNE 2008DEBT FREE - JULY 2035DMP WITH PAYPLAN0 -

Hmmm ... just checked my Egg transactions, it says that there haven't been any transactions since my last statement in Nov 2008 (which is wrong), and that they cannot "retrieve" my payment information at this time. So now what?!

It took a few months for my online egg account to start showing payments.
Now i can only see the last payment and date it was made, and current ballance. But it did take a while to stop showing the cannot retrive messgae.
You could try emailing them with a list of payments made and ask they to confirm they have been revived as not reflecting on the account when you log in.Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -

They were my nicest creditor, stopped all interest 3 yrs ago and havent applied any since. My dmp company informed me that they has agreed to stop interest, but once you can see your ballance online it becomes obvious when the ballance starts going down and you are only making the lower payment.Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
Hey everyone. I am just trying to catch up with this thread as I haven't been on much since part 5 started up, I am on page 18 now and hoping to get through it today to see how you're all doing.
In the meantime, a quick update from me...
well, today we have received our first default notice - from MINT! My hubby went into a panic and phoned MINT and they were really good and basically just said they had to do that so that they can freeze the interest. So really pleased about that.
HSBC Credit Card are being right !!!!!!s! The problem when we sent off all of our letters in November to start the DMP we hadn't prepared to have to get through the month without credit and so we used the credit card to get through the month. They keep sending us letters and when we phone them they tell us they aren't accepting the plan as we used the credit card in November. We keep trying to explain that we were just trying to get through that month before the plan started but they aren't listening and threatening to do all sorts. So I guess we just have to stick that one out!! Arghh!!
We have 2 barclaycard credit cards. One are brill and have reduced the interest but the other (formerly Morgan Stanley) have confirmed they are accepting the reduced amounts, but the interest is still really high and so our balance is going up each month.
HFC are good and quiet - stopped the interest for 6 months
Naturally Close - excellent - frozen interest and just send through the statements each month!
Northern Rock haven't written to us and I am sure they will still be adding all the interest etc but I am just too scared to even ask them about it!
Alliance and Leicester -they sent us a letter demanding full payment in December, but nothing since, so not sure what they are doing!
HSBC Overdraft - sent no correspondance to us, but continue to add interest. I spoke to them today to see if they could do anything, but he said to just write and request reduced interest, but he thought the chances were slim. He also said that I could pay more money off and that would reduce it!! Ha, ok then!!! I think I will leave the account as it is for a few more months so they can see we are paying it off slowly and then ask CCCS to send off the request to reduce interest and hope they will have some compassion!
Hitachi - it was interest free anyway and they seem happy enough having reduced payments, so that's good.
So, that's where I am on this fun journey! Some good, some bad and some ugly!! It does seem that with some of these companies, it's never going to end if they don't help us out, but what can you do eh!!?
Ah well, hope you're all doing ok. I am going back to read the rest of these pages so I can catch up properly!!! xx0
