Just plugged my home phone back in after a week and my voicemail was full. All the messages were from creditors asking me to ring them back.
As I was typing this I received my first phone call of the day at 8.07am!!!!
Apparently its Citicards according to http://whocallsme.com I still didn't answer - thank goodness for caller id! :jLight Bulb Moment 4th January 2009 :eek:Started DMP 1st April 2009 :ADMP mutual support thread member: 267 :j0 -

Hiya CornishMaid,
Egg are being taken on by numerous people at the moment over at the CAG forum. If you have the CCA on you, have a look at it. Instead of saying 'Credit Limit' the pre 2005 ones say 'Approved Limit'. This is misleading & Egg have already lost cases on these grounds as 'Approved Limit' could mean anything & doesn't necessarily mean they are talking about the amount of credit.
Egg weakened their own case further by changing the newer CCA agreements to 'Credit Limit' which is basically an acknowledgement that the old agreements were not properly executed. :rotfl::j DMP mutual support thread member - 135:j0 -
Its all go in St0lli land tolday!
Just received lettere from MBNA telling me they've received my I&E form and letter (from CCCS) and informing me that the amount I'm offering is not sufficient to prevent a default payment registering on your credit file and the balance may be legally assigned to a third party. They will be in regular contact with me (deep joy) to ascertain whether my circumstances have changed. In the meantime we recommend you continue to make the payments I can afford.
Obviously this is a summary of what the letter states but there is no mention of them actually accepting my DMP or stopping charges or interest. Anyone else had anything like this from them?

Hiya StOlli,
I was annoyed yesterday as my home phone started ringing & when I answered it there was a voice text message from one of my creditors (Fredrickson International) stating they needed to be called urgently, the voice message didn't state who it was for or anything. I called them back but the guy who answered started asking me security questions & I refused to answer them on the grounds I didn't know who he was & that it could all be a con to get me to give out personal details. Anyway in the end after a lot of discussion it turned out they just wanted to offer me a reduced settlement figure.
I think sending people in debt voice texts to get them to ring back is seriously wrong.:j DMP mutual support thread member - 135:j0 -
I would change your number. I've never had a creditor on the phone even at the start of my dmp
All I get is letters.
I changed mine before I got in to arrears and started my DMP. If you give your landline supplier a call and ask for a new number as you keep on getting threatening/harassing calls they should change it for you.
Black Horse defaulted me last month after I reduced my DMP payment because I had an unexpected car bill after MOT and my car fund was all used up for MOT.
The Black Horse default said they MAY take me to court yadayada, had a letter today from them saying that they will accept my DMP Payments again and thanking me for my continued (all be it lower) paymentsMy other creditors didn't even seem to care that I had to reduce it (I did send them all an advisory letter as told to do by CCCS).

MBNA have a habit that before they sell debts off they will give you one last opportunity to settle it at a seriously reduced rate, roughly about 30-40% of what you owe. I don't know if this happens in every case but certainly I know several people including myself that have been offered that chance. I wasn't in a position to take them up on it but then they accepted my DMP shortly afterwards.:j DMP mutual support thread member - 135:j0 -
Am I right in assuming that once all my paperwork has gone to CCCS and the DMP starts, that they will send a copy of my I&E to all my creditors so I don't have to reply to RBS at this point?
I'm not going to get my DMP up and running until May 1st and my next intended communications with all my creditors will be my April token payments and the CCCS letter of notification of DMP that they recommend sending out to all creditors.
Do I need to send any other letters at this point? My first letter (plus token payment) made my situation clear I think - including my intended plan.......
Yes you are right, CCCS will send I&Es to all your creditors so don't worry about replying to RBS.
You also don't need to send any other letters to anyone at the moment - just chillax!:DDebt free Olympic Contender # 134DMP Mutual Support Thread member # 250DMP March 2010 [STRIKE]£9786 [/STRIKE] now £9900 -

We had the exact same letter! We paid a £1 token payment for February and then our DMP payment for March.
Touch wood, we havnt had any phone calls yet??? I just know Ive tempted fate saying that!
We had a letter from CCCS to say MBNA were not accepting out payments but we were to carry on as normal with the DMP plan.0 -
Hi everyone hope you are all ok.
sorry I havent been around been suffering dreadfully from migraines cannot seem to shift them and no matter what the doctors/hositals give me nothing seems to be helping.
Well after 3 weeks of feeling like pooh - I logged onto my coop bank account this morning only to realise that my benefits have incorrectly been paid into my halifax bank account which is included in the DMP and I cannot access the funds via a cash machine, hubbie tried it this morning. I dont know what to do - to be honest dont feel up to sorting it but need to as dont have other funds available and need to pay a few bills in the next few days. Should I phone the Halifax and tell them the situation and ask for them to allow me to withdraw over the counter or contact benefits. Any help most appreciated.
Thanks MNMDMP starting 1/3/09 - thanks to CCCS & MSEI am now proud to be dealing with my debts!Big thanks to everyone on the DMP Mutual Support Threadyour support has inspired me to get this sorted once and for all xx0 -
Afternoon all!
Didn't want to read and run as I saw your post MNM; can you go to your local branch armed with your account number and withdraw over the counter?
If you have destroyed the card then obviously you cannot use the machines but if you have a passbook or a statement proving you are who you say you are then I cannot see why you couldn't access your money.
Hope this helps
Sorry MNM just re-read your post are you saying they have frozen the account?DMP support thread member 211 :cool:I'm only here to get some medals......honest!0
