AMEX cashback question.

When I called AMEX they told me that the promotional spend WAS included for the tiered cashback.
Other people think this isn't true, so my advice is to call them and note down the time and the name of the person you spoke to.
Unfortunately if a call center person makes a mistake then the company don't see to be bound by it.
But it would give some confidence if others report back their findings from calling AMEX.0
