After 10 weeks of trying, we got our money back today from 2LF. Took 30 days to wait for a refund (never came), gave them another 14 days before legal action started, nothing - then started legal action via Moneyclaim.gov. They took the maximum time to respond but today we got a cheque for nearly £2000.
I recommend using the moneyclaim website that is mentioned above in this thread - the costs are recoverable from 2LF and they do seem to respond to this.
Keep fighting everyone!0 -
After ordering my buggy on 22nd February and cancelling the order on Monday after waiting over 30 days, I had the standard automated response email. Hidden within a link, within a link, was a small note saying they had gone into administration on 23rd February!
It would have been nice to have been told. Luckily I paid with my credit

well, you can call me all the names under the sun, disagree with me until you are blue in the face, but I have just read all the letters, emails, etc on their website and I feel very sorry for them.
You wouldn't get any other company director, writing on their website how sorry they are - I think it is from the heart.
Just shows how powerful a television programme can be.
abigailsrevenge - I have a feeling you weren't informed because at that point, they may still have thought they could complete orders.0 -
According to Watchdog the company have now ceased trading. One of the reasons they gave for this was (believe it or not) the negative publicity from Watchdog. So nothing to do with they zero customer service then. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Did you read all the letters, etc on their website? As I said, once Watchdog have got their claws into something, they don't let go.
Two Left Feet asked Watchdog not to broadcast at that particular time, and because of the programme, it seems the bank pulled the plug.
Anyway, before you start, I know I am going to be in the minority here !0 -

I also believe they were truly sorry, but to be honest, I think the downfall was the fact he had no business sense, and was a truly terrible business man, and failed because he was clueless!
Watchdog was just the tip of the iceberg, and I'm quite sure they would have gone under regardless. If it wasn't for Watchdog, they would have just been kept afloat a bit longer by more customer orders that they wouldn't be able to fill.
Good idea for a business, but wrong person to run it.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Thought I'd pop in and link to an article about them going under http://www.ukparentslounge.com/index.php?pg=185&utwkstoryid=2053
They have been investigated previous to the recent watchdog too, I've been hearing bad things about them for years myself so always avoided!!0 -

Has anybody received any letter directly from the administrators? we didn't find out about 2leftfeet going into administration until recently and by that time the advice line was closed down.
Hopefully the card company will now 'do their bit' according to Consumer Credit act etc....0
