Hi
Im not sure if this is on the right place so forgive me it needs to be moved.
I ordered 2 pairs of the same shoes in 2 different sizes from littlewoods last week. They were ted baker shoes for my bf for xmas, but wasnt sure what size he'd need so armed myself with the other size just incase.
They cost £90 each so not cheap.
I have just called littlewoods to see when to expevt delivery because im eorried they wot get her in time for xmas.
I was told they were delivered and signed for on sat 13th december.
I wasnt even here, my neighbours on one side were round last might and they would have said if they had them. And the man on the other side was away.
What am i supposed to do? Im really upset, this hant happened to me before so im worried i'll ose all that money and some bloody postman has my shoes!!!
Any advice before i ring them back. They told me to speak to my neighbours again and see if anyone else may have taken them in.

Inform Littlewoods that you have not received delivery. They would then hopefully be able to show you proof of delivery (signature etc). Then dispute this if you do not recognise it.
Do not fall into the trap of Littlewoods telling you to take it up with the courier, it is not your responsibility, it is theirs.
They need to prove delivery, not you proving non delivery.0 -
My advice is get onto Littlewoods and stand your ground.
Demand to get details of who the delivery driver was, the exact day and time he claims he delivered and to what premisies/person and on what was this recorded.
Ask to get a copy of the signature emailed to you and consider involving the police if Littlewoods/Courier firm do not escalate your complaint.
I have just had a Christmas nightmare with Amazon who use a courier firm called HNDL.
HDNL claim to have delivered a games console with extra games (a very large package) but they have NOT!!
They have no tracking confirmation of this delivery and claim the tracking system was down...so according to the tracking account the package is still in their depot!!!!!
I contacted Amazon who to be fair have refunded me and I have gone out and physically bought everything myself...a right pain in the backside as it was more expensive, but a bird in the hand etc!!!
I told them that in my opinion this is a theft in transit and the police should be informed. They claim a special investigation team deals with these types of thefts and they have asked HDNL to investigate....but how many of these 'incidents' are there over the Xmas period???!!!!
I phoned the HDNL depot and gave my details and tracking number and was told the area manager would ring me back immediately over such a serious matter....guess what....no call came and I did not expect one from this firm after reading up on them on the web.
Amazon will not get any more big electronics orders from me ever again.

Yep, blame the postman despite the fact he wouldn't be the one delivering them. It will be one of these courier in a car types or sometimes a cheap courier in a van.0 -
might they be in a shed or green house thats what happened with the last parcels we had .0

Why? This should be on the list of things that aren't the OP's problem. It's up to Littlewoods to sort out their internal difficulties with their contractors. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
Because it shows you are not prepared to take this lying down.
It also gives you evidence if you want/need to take it to the police.
For all you know these missing items could be happening on the same route/depot and this would alert the courier firm that something is very very wrong!
It also lets the likes of Littlewoods/Amazon know what type of problems these couriers are causing the customers!
It's called being pro-active;)

I think you mis-understand me. My suggestion isn't that the OP forgets about it, my point is that the OP has a contract with littlewoods, littlewoods have yet to meet their obligations under this contract, and if the goods don't appear then delivering the goods or a refund and then working out what happened to the original delivery is a problem for littlewoods, not the OP.If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
Thanks for your replies.
I have just spoken to litlewoods again and they have placed the order and will send it out next day delivery for 3.95.
I dont see why i should pay it as its not my fault.
But i need them by friday to take to london with me for xmas.
Im happy at the resukt i suppose, The didnt want to talk about the courier at all so im guessing this happens all the time.0
