Debt now Jan 2021 - £6,208.21
Overpayment pot - £00 -
Fingers crossed for the focus group FF!
You are sounding fairly positive at the moment- hope you are bouncing back emotionally x2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Because I [STRIKE]am completely sad[/STRIKE] was bored at work yesterday, I started costing up recipes. First effort of the day is
Mixed bean curry (4 portions @ 35p each)
1 tin chick peas 33p
1 tin kidney beans 19p
1 tin tomatoes 33p
Two onions, 300g 12p
Coconut cream, 50g 7p
Plain yoghurt, 150g 15p
Frozen garlic 8p
Garam masala 13p
Also used lazy ginger, lazy chilli and seasoning which are all from ancient stocks so not costed. Would have been tastier and cheaper to have left out the yoghurt and doubled the coconut cream. Once the ingredients have defrosted I will be making
Thai green curry (4 portions @ £1 each)
Chicken breast, 300g £2
Frozen petit pois, 120g 20p
Frozen green beans, 120g 12p
Value mushrooms, 150g 30p
One onion, 150g 6p
Frozen garlic 4p
Thai curry paste, 1 jar 50p (offer)
Coconut cream, 50g 7p
Skimmed milk powder (out of date)
Wholewheat egg noodles x 4 nests 70p
This would be cheaper if you used a Smartprice whole chicken; mine were off a yellow sticker organic bird. Could make further savings using Value instant noodles. :money:

Thanks guys! :A Don't know when I will find out, didn't do very well at all on the timed questions (??) but hoping not too many northern people will be willing to travel to London for an entire weekend.
I'm still very wobbly about the cheating and scared of being unemployable after all the sick leave, but trying to focus on my finances as that is an area I can control.Getting back into cooking should impact upon my health and weight as well as saving money ....

Dawn you are not emotionally inept, he is! A weekend in early January, will let you know if I get selected as it would be  to meet up.
The spendathon continues ... £70 at Maximuscle (four for the price of three, free delivery, 10% Topcashback) and £34 on three cat books and three frugal books from Amazon (free delivery, double Nectar points).Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
I am thinking of joining you in buying a laptop. Excuse being there is not enough room for my pc desk here with all my other junk and Dads :rotfl:Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0

I wouldn't bother, my laptop has been sent out via HDNL so I will probably never received it ... just kidding, it has actually gone out for delivery again today, only a week after they first tried (as usual didn't leave a card ).
Seem to be on a major roll with YouGov, reliably making £2+ a month so that I have now hit £20!
Edited to add: According to the tracking information HDNL attempted to deliver early this afternoon which is a load of rubbish, balatently the driver didn't fancy negotiating the one way system. No doubt my laptop will now be sent back to Amazon with all the associated grief: I am sick to the back teeth of complaining about shoddy service this year. :mad:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
