I may join you my court date is 14th jan - havent looked at the forms yet and screening all phone calls as havent made decembers payments - persistant little !!!!!!s arent they! had a few days peace over xmas at least, expect theyll start again today though, speaking to payplan and they recommended bankrupsy, got a telephone appointment on the 9th with cccs just to confirm things- doesnt seem like long now better get my !!!! into gear with these forms some time soon. Kind of gutted about loosing my one job -as could of struggled on but was lucky enough to get another one straight away which should be grateful for! and now have to face up to things that have just been brewing for years and years. Wish i'd been like my parents and not so impatient and greedy wanting things now (on credit) instead of saving up- I curse the day dh and i were offered a secured loan on the house we'd never heard of then until then - this resulted in more and more credit to pay off the previous credit ending up with negative equity and secured loan payments are more than our mortgage! how F'ing stupid! anyway my mission now is to get it sorted, stop stressing and make sure the kids are very sensible with money! unlike mummy and daddy - already had to explain to ds that he couldnt have his birthday party coz of mummys job which went down well - not! but he seems to have forgotten about that for now! he got distracted by xmas.BR as of 14/1/2009

Hi miaoww
Know what you mean about teaching kids to be responsible with money. That is something that I hope to pass on to mine.
Good luck on the 14th and let us know how it went.
Seems easy to get into debt but hard to get out of it and I am sorry to hear of your job loss. You seem to have a positive outlook for the future and I hope it all pans out for you
Looking forward to the phone calls (Not)

Morning all
Not up to much today as I have work this afternoon. Have a few things to sort out tomorrow.
1...Ring payplan regarding the end of my DMP. Despite various emails they have not replied so will ring them in the morning.
2...Contact Coop regarding my account. It is still showing my surname wrong when I log on. Only something minor but need to get it sorted as these things can get tricky if not sorted.
3...I should really fill in at least 1 more question on my online forms as I have not looked at them for a while.
Just spent £78 at Tesco stocking up the freezer:eek:. Did not expect it to be that much but it will be used and still have £246 in my grocery budget so should last to the end of the month.
Oh one more thing. Won £5 on thunderball last night :j. That makes £105 in 2 draws. Hope that continues
Have a great Sunday everyone and will touch base soon

Hi YM! Well done with the budgeting and the saving! I filled up my freezer before xmas too and it will be used, no food gets wasted anymore in my house! Hope that the good luck continues with the lotto for you! Would be lovely to read how someone had a big win on here! Maybe it's you!!BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0

Just had a thought regarding my car.
I do need it for work as I work shifts so therefore start at various times during the week and day but would it be taken into account that I only live 4 miles from where I work ????
It is only a Volvo but it has got 7 seats as I need the extra when I have my 2 DS's from a previous marriage as there are 4 of us and trying to squeeze 6 people into a 5 seater is a bit tough.0 -
have you looked into bus times? My OH works shifts and starts early on some and finishes late on others and by this time buses won't be running, we live about 4 miles from his work and he would still have to get two buses to get there. Although he has been known to go on his bike on his more energetic days! so if you need your car, then what can you do? and with extended family, you can't exactly make do with a micra or a mini.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0

Thanks DON.
With my shifts it would be hard to get public transport at the times I start and finish.
To be honest I am going to play the extended family card to keep my car as it is big enough for us all and was the cheapest 7 seater I could afford and we need the extra space when we all go out for the day etc.
Got it off EBAY mind with cash advanced from my credit card   . I know, I know bad move but seen the light now
