  • Thanks Phil

I am not too bad really just in a state of limbo and want to get it done now to be honest. It has been a loooooooooong build up :D

Hmm the build up is the worse bit....I did the online forms (took me nearly 3wks after tweaks) then I booked the appt for court......all a bit flat after the big day really

  • I just think the longer you have the more you think of every scenario that could happen instead of dealing with what happens so to speak  If anything I have learned not to suffer from the " What ifs " ;)

  • After reading all the threads by people going BR before me, by the time it came to my day,i was really calm and the day itself was a bit non eventful! So get your forms done, after all you've only got 3 weeks and 3 days to go! Flying by!

Me too thats why I had a good night's sleep the night before and was at no point nervous because I knew everything that was happening.

  • Sunday 22nd February...23 days to go

Morning everyone. Hope you are all well

To be honest I think I will be OK on the day as people say the thought and build up is worse than the actual deed.

Working later and need to work on my budget for next month. I will need to up my food budget I think as I only have £25 to last until Thursday and that was on a budget of £350 and also need to get my behind on the OS board to try to cut that :o. It just shows you though that you do not realise how much you actually spend to what you think you spend IYSWIM. I did have MOT this month but how I managed for all those years and still tried to pay my debts is beyond me.Just goes to show that I have been struggling for years really and the road I am following is the right one ;)

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday and feel all refreshed for the week ahead :D ( I am off Tuesday to friday g5cgrin.gif )

  • Good Morning ym, and a lovely sunny one it is too!

I could have written your post above myself, it so reflects what I came up against after just one month of my SOA budget. It is a good idea to try and live on the amounts that you have arrived at and make sure it is doable.
Food, with all the household bits, was a surprise. I struggled on £180 for the month, everything seems to have gone up again in the supermarket and the pet shop.
Don't laugh :o but food for my hamster has gone up by 18p in one go for a small bag. Extortionate, he will have to go!! ;)
My electric bill for 5 weeks was £88 for Jan - Feb ....
I was very lucky in that Mr D who did my OR interview just passed everything on my budget, so I can wangle it around to manage .... I don't know what I would have done if he had cut anything.

I am going to have to disagree with others who believe that the forms and court are the worst bit. Mine was the wait for the OR interview. That was a real feeling of limbo. Like haleygrey I had read up so much about the BR process that the day itself was not a problem at all. The long wait for the interview and the not knowing did for me, I am afraid, and it reflected on my mood, my job and my way of going about things in general. When it was over, I felt a huge sense of relief. Then and only then did I feel able to start moving on.

Anyway, have a good day ym. Sorry you have to work.... I shall be thinking of you as I tuck into my 3 course Sunday lunch at a local pub. Definitely off to the gym tomorrow to work off the excess!

    Hugs
