  • Monday 23rd February...22 days to go

    Afternoon all

I thought I could smell a gas leak outside my house this morning. Anyway transpires there was one and as I walked out the house to come to work the next door neighbours garden is being dug over with a nice trench. That will be a nice surprise when she comes home. I did ask when they would let her know but as the guy told me if it a gas leak they act straightaway OK if she wants to plant some runners :D Dont really like her anyway but thats beside the point and I digress.

At work ATM and managed to get my tax reference number so I am now on 94% with the forms. Only the reason why and the last little " other Essential payments" to go. Am I correct in thinking you put a total in the small box and then a breakdown in the larger box below ?? Will be glad when that has been filled in but , with the assistance of my credit file, has not been too bad to fill out the forms. For anyone just starting to fill them out they look daunting but are not too bad at all ;)

Nothing else to report really and I believe my phone has now been switched over so all 01, 02 calls are now free :j .

  • Hi there ym .... good to see things are progressing bit by bit.

Spot on about the other essential outgoings. Total in the small box and a breakdown underneath. This was oneof the quirky things about the online form filling. It looks like the breakdown box is very limited on space. I had to put a number of items grouped together..

    i.e dent,opt,pres car tax,repairs, bkdown etc

and then .... when they print off the box it is actually about 5 times bigger, so all the writing is hunched at the top and there is a big white space underneath....

Anyway, good luck my friend and just thank your lucky stars it wasn't your garden that was dug up.

Provident have actually started to hassle me just in the last few days - 2 calls a day even though they have had a copy of the BO and I have told them over and over. God loves a trier.... Not!!

    Hugs

  • Wednesday 25th Feb...20 days to go

Morning all hope everything is going Tickety Boo.

Had another call from Moorcroft at work. I was not in but my colleague phoned to give me the message and number. I phoned them and told them to only contact me in writing and sent the letter off that morning stating the same.I only gave my name and he tried to get me to confirm my address and DOB. I did not give him these and hung up on him. I somehow think that I will be hearing more from them shortly  They are creeping up the league table now and are now joint 1st

    1..First direct 3 Pts (3 letters, 0 calls)
    1...Halifax 3 Pts (2 letters, 1 call)
    1...Argos(Moorcroft) 3 Pts (1 letters , 2 calls)
    4...Capital one. 2 Pts (2 letters, 0 calls)
    5...Egg 0 Pts ( 0 letters, 0 calls)

No other creditor activity so far.

I played golf yesterday to try and help me forget about my impending BR. It certainly did that. Somebody actually had a heart attack on the course and died. By the time the helicopter got there it was to late. Made me realise that anything can happen at any time and my problems pale into insignificance compared to those faced by that poor gentlemans family

    Take care

  • Thursday 26th February...19 days to go

Under 20 days to go now so final preperations will soon be put in place.

Got paid today and also recieved a Bonus. That will pay for my BR Fees and I will still have some left over. Need to start thinking about swapping pay details now to my Coop account and then start switching them over from my Nat West to Coop as they come out this month.

Just 6% of the forms to go and I think I will post my SOA on a seperate thread before I confirm it online just to run it by the wonderfull people on here. I will do that in the next couple of days.

Manged to get myself Car breakdown cover for the year for £42.50 which is good. The down side is if the OR takes my car ;)

Will catch up later as I have washing to hang out and housework to do. As they say a Mans work is never done :D
