 Hello all, I haven't posted for a while but have been reading all the posts. LM I'm so pleased to hear how happy you are. You and Sam look like a cute couple. I can tell just from reading your posts that your self-confidence is growing:)
Steph Hope you manage to sort things out with your bf.
Tulip Our ray of sunshineHow are things with you? Are you looking forward to Christmas?
Sssssss That karate teacher behaved inappropriately and I'm glad to hear that you're going to make a complaint.
I'm not doing that well atm. My Mum walked out on my Dad AGAIN! for some man she's met. She did this a few years ago, with another man. It has been really upsetting for all of us. She's been causing problems since she left by sending nasty text messages. She told me that I have no life and that she can't understand why I'm not like everyone else. Also she told me in a text message that my Dad has cancerShe's become such a horrible woman. I don't even like referring to her as my Mum anymore because it doesn't feel like she is, she doesn't care about us anymore. I know I know I'm an adult (24), but you don't stop needing your parents do you? I feel like I'm in a state of mourning. As strange as it sounds my only real comfort is SH.

Omgz, like such a great day!
Photoshoot with Kay went brilliantly and we saw this guy with a dog and it was the perfect opportunity. Then Kay took some photos of me (eek) ut my first thought wasn't "My gawd, I'm ugly".It was "I'm not as ugly as I think I am". Gotta be an improvement, right?
Anyway, here are a couple from today.
And this one that Kay took of me...eek!
Love to you all.

I could post a couple of ideas that might have helped you but others might see it as advice:rolleyes: . things do get better though and even though you have been out of work for some time dont give up as every cloud has a silver lining and you never know whats around the corner. A new job is not necesarily going to be like the last one and you might find the people there are really good.
good to have you back :j0 -

Hi guys!Me again.
Yes, I know I'm running late - been kind of busy here at Tiff Towers, so I need to start cat-ching up.''On the eigth day of December, Tiffy said to me...''Eat, Drink and Be Merry!
I know I've already posted on behalf of the diabetics for some seasonal munchies, but there are many other diets to consider in this field too. I will say first though PLEASE be very careful and check the ingredients fully for yourself before cooking and tucking in. It's not just a particular ingredient that many have to worry about but also it's derivatives. And a good rule of thumb is to have tiny portions of something new at first, just in case.
So for the coeliacs, vegetarians and people with gluten, wheat, dairy and nut allergies, here's a sprinkling of websites that may give you some ideas...http://www.channel4.com/food/recipes/occasions/christmas/4food-s-gluten-free-christmas-menu_p_1.html
And don't blame me if you put on any weight due to any of these links!
Safe journeys guys.
Much Love,

Hi guys! And again!''On the ninth day of December, Tiffy said to me...''Festive Fun
Most of us know that the children - and husbands - at some point can get bored and make your jobs very hard work. Rather than spend more money this Christmas, plug them into your pc and let them loose on some free festive games - sort of along the lines of the lovely ones we get in our weekly MSE email.
Obviously, it's always best to check out the games yourself first - no, not to play, but to check out the site/game content and whether it's suitable. It's amazing the myriad of games you can find with a quick interweb search. I haven't checked them out thoroughly at all so please again, use your own judgement.
They are truly a blessing in disguise when it comes to relieving the stress on you and you'll know longer be wanting to stuff your OH as well as the turkey!!!
Enjoy.
Much Love,

Hi guys!Guess who?!Apologies if this offends anyone.''On the tenth day of December, Tiffy said to me...''The Joy of Christmas Cards
A woman walks into the busy Post Office to buy stamps for all her Christmas cards.
"What denomination?" asks the clerk."Oh, good heavens! Have we come to this?" said the woman. "Well, give me 50 Church of England, 50 Catholic and one Methodist!"
More Tiffing tomorrow - I hope.

The thing with going back to work after or with depression is it is not just for the financial benefit but also the sense of achievement, feeling worthwhile and being part of the community again. A great stepping stone on the ay is perhaps a couple of hours volunteer work for a charity shop, animal shelter etc. If you're lucky it can even lead to a paying job in the future but as I say, it's not just about the money.
I agree, I started with voluntary work in a cat shelter as a way of getting out and having something regular to do, and the people I met there have been very supportive. Plus I got my beautiful Isis from there.
Ssssssss, I know how hard it is to do even the simplest things sometimes. It's damned hard work. I struggle just to get through the day sometimes, but I also have better days, and I know that I have to keep working on myself.0
