The Orange sim that I have is for evening and weekend texts only unless they have done a different one

Been waiting for 3 days for my SIM to be activated as apparantly there is a back log on their system to activate accounts :mad:

To get 1000 texts you have to up by £30 a month see
http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/payasyougo/rewards .and you are put on the Free Text Top Up Tariff which is dearer then the 24/7 tariff.

Why does the SIM pack in the Orange Shop (linked to in the OP) show calls to Orange and landlines cost 20p/min and other mobile networks cost 40p/min, yet The PAYG Price Guide shows PAYG is 15p/min to Orange/landlines and 35p/min to other networks.

Is this 50p SIM card on a more expensive tariff?

Yes as Mobile Gossip points out they are on a dearer tariff. But i cant see why you cant choose the 24/7 tariff when you register.
