Ebay Unable to give Non paying Bidder Strikes after 9 days

Christmas, a time for giving all the timewasters who bid on my items but decide not to pay a strike but for some reason I am unable to do so.
It used to be you file a NPB then when 7 days are up you give them a strike.
I currently have two non paying bidders, I filed the NPB 9 days ago, neither of them has responded but I cannot file strikes against them.
Ebay really is turning into a sellers nightmare.

You have to wait 7 or 8 days from the time the claim was opened.
It's always been that way.Character is what you have left when you've lost everything you can lose.0 -
It used to be 7 days without fail that you could file a strike but it seems to have increased lately.
Ebay are probably losing too many buyers due to them getting suspended through strikes so are trying to prevent sellers giving strikes or hoping they forget.0 -

You've always been able to open a dispute after 7 days but unless they reply via the dictated process then you have to wait until day 15, 8 days after the claim was opened, to issue a strike.Character is what you have left when you've lost everything you can lose.0 -

Hi
We had a buyer who bid,won the item and didn't pay and when the process went through he admitted to receiving the item.Ebay promptly concluded with we have to take their word for it.Thanks for the £7.24 end of listing fees Ebay.Always look after your zero bidders0 -

Ebays help pages still state you have to wait 7 days to issue strike after the initial 7 days so if ebay have increased it to 8 days, they need to pull their finger out and change it to 8 days.0 -
might be wrong place to ask this but anyway...I've just started selling items on ebay (old clothes etc) this is the first someone hasn't paid me straight away after winning....I haven't sent items as I haven't recieved payment, I've sent another invoice (it's only for 99p plus P&P!!) how long should I give them before I relist? Or what do I do in this situation?0

Ebay in all their wisdom have actually reversed a strike I placed on a non paying bidder because the bidder contacted them and said he would pay.
Ebay make up the rules as they go along, they are obssessed with their final value fees and clearly thought it was perfectly okay for me to wait over 2 weeks for a buyer to pay me just because the buyer said he was going to pay.
Even though I went through the proper channels of issuing my strike ebay decided to not uphold it. Wouldn't surprise me if my strike would have been the buyers 3rd one and ebay did not want him suspended due to all the business he gives them.0 -
I've given up selling, due to stress of others trying to get payment , makes you very frighten out there to sell or buy . e-bay sent me a 20% off voucher as I've not done anything for months.the truth is out there ... on these pages !!0

I am back to Car Booting in the spring. I advise evryone to store their stuff until them and do the same.
Ebay need to remember that the sellers pay their fees and not the buyers. I know there will always be some sellers but a lot are leaving in their droves. They have already backed down on Shop Exposure and Shop listing fees.
Either way I do not think anything will entice me back to eBay - for personal or business. I choose to shop there as a last resort. I bear in mind that the sellers have had to add 20% to their prices to pay the fees they incur so chances are it is cheaper elsewhere on the internet. Amazon is the same in the market place - they charge 17.5% in fees!!!!!!! I'll buy from Amazon but rarely from the marketplace as the seller has to raise the price to sell something.
Anyone want to take a bet on how long it will be before they have to start making people redundant at eBay/Paypal......0
