£10.00 per month Vodafone contract!!

I recently entered my details on myoffers.co.uk competition web site to win various things - one of them a mobile phone. A few days later Vodafone called me to tell me that I hadn't won a phone  but I was a runner up :j (yeah, sure!!). Anyway they told me that they were able to offer me special deal which was:
A free Sony Ericsson V600i (return sale phone but unused and in A1 condition). Its £10.00 a month for life of 18month contract on their Vodafone 200 Anytime (x-net) STC price plan also includes 250 texts a month and an extras pack which usually costs £14.00 pm foc.

I don't know how else you can get a contract this cheap but it might just be worth entering a few competitions - the worst thing they might do is phone you and you can always say no!

Make sure the deal is via Vodafone direct not an agent. Sales people will tell you anything to make the sale. Get the contract details in writing and do not pass your bank details to these people as anyone could have got the competition info. Only advise but it is better to be carefull :)

You can get better deals from many retails with cashback on contract eg. 12 months free line rental and inclusive minutes and free phone on a 12 month contract. I did this last year and made some money on the deal. Just ordered my 2006 phones yesterday. Only makes sense to do this if you don't mind the paperwork for cashbacks etc and are organised and can afford the contract. Look at https://www.contractdeals.com under cheap contracts to see what I mean.

Also watch your exposure to radiation from phones (they are microwave generators onyl .25w but right next to your head!) check SAR ratings etc the recommended exposure in the USA is 10 minutes or less a day. Bluetooth, car and speakerphone will reduce this.

Only some thoughts for your consideration :)
    Seth.

I got a similar deal in the summer from Vodafone following my entry into a Vodafone comp on my offers. I got a brand new K750i for £10 a month for 10 months then £17 a month for 8 months. (the usual price was £20 a month)
It is definately Vodafone direct not an agent (At least it was when I got mine !) Hope this helps.

  • Not sure which competition it was as I entered quite a lot - just pick the ones for the phones.
  • Thanks Seth. I did check it all out. The call came from Vodafone direct. I received confirmation in writing from them and have since had communications with them via e-mail and in writing. I received the phone within 24 hours. That was just before Xmas and I am not due to pay anything at all until the end of Jan. I am able to monitor my account on Vodafone's web site so I can see exactly what I am being charged. The deal is quite legit. but I agree with you that you have to be careful not to get caught out by other less ethical companies or scammers.
