Oh my word, I thought it was just me lol, I am a listaholic too!
I have a work list, day to day "to do" list, a monthly list and a yearly occasions list (makes it easier to spread the cost), spreadsheets....and probably more. I als0 put things on that I have already done so I can tick off, However I never cross off I highlight .....it looks prettier lol. It drives my friends mad that I get in a huff if I am behind schedule with one of my many lists!!
Yes I am a list aholic have been for years.........my age????

I don't know if this will make any of you feel any better, but if you read "Getting Things Done" by David Allen, writing things down is very helpful because it allows you to get them off your mind and stop worrying about them.
Of course, the hard part is making sure that a) absolutely everything is written down and b) it's organised in a trusted system so that you will definitely look at the information again and act upon it. Otherwise, you write it down AND worry about it (this is my personal favourite!).
Anyway, it's an interesting book and I think it's pretty applicable to a wide range of people.0 -
i'm a list person as well, sometimes i don't feel in control of my life if there's so much going on and i don't write it down. But typing a list just doesn't do it for me i have to write it. I'm mid thirties so maybe it's someting to do with this decade that we're in.0

HaHa my fellow list-a-holics! I can confirm this obsession gets worse (or better depending on how you look at it!) with age. I am now 42! and my love of lists has not diminished infact i now have several cross referenced lists!
I can relate to all of the posts on this thread! Im not keen on typed lists - I print them out then write them myself! I love crossing things off when ive done them - so satisfying! I have holiday lists, christmas lists, things to do before im 50 lists, housework lists, dfw lists, my lists are endless! Iin fact I may make a new list listing all my lists or is that just taking it too far!
I too love writing, I can spend hours in paperchase, I love cute little books, pens and anything stationery related! I wish id seen Miss Piggys lists notebooks in time 'cos the would have so been top of my Christmas list this year!CC Debt: Jan 10 £21,660 now £8,170 hurrah!0 -
Must be your personality type! We've been through a whole series of tests at work to find out what type of personality we have and, yes, there is one for people who have lists for everything!
I'm the opposite. All my skills are in thinking..............just don't ask me to do anything quickly as I'll just have a wee think............and then some more before doing anything!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Wow,
you all sound like me!
I write lists all the time for everything, before I go to bed I make a list of the things I have to do in the morning
I tried cheap notepads but have gone back to slighly more expensive ones.
I am going to try a page a day diary next year and am sadly excited by the prospect!
oh and I am 32 !Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
I'm peeing myself laughing that so many people can get so excited over a list.
Well now i've posted that, i can cross it off my list.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

im another list and stationery-aholic
i find it calms me down writing a list, as i feel more in control of what needs to be done. if only it would also motivate me to do something about the things that need to be done :rotfl:know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
I am also a list-a-holic, my notepad, pen and calculator go everywhere with me!
