Won ebay item but not received it yet

I won an item last week (8/12) and its been a week and still no sign of it, the seller said they posted it last week which i believe they did, i contacted the seller last week and she replied on the 11th(thin i may have contacted her a bit too soon) and she apologised and would send a second 1 out which hasn't come either, how long do i leave before i make a claim from whoever for item not delivered, ive not had an item not turn up which is why im asking on here,

Anything that is delayed is almost certain to turn up in 10-21 days.

Another thing is that it is the holiday season and with the increase of packages and mail to be handled, sorted and delivered at this time of the year, it often takes longer to receive deliveries.

Have you double checked to make sure the merchant has the correct mailing address for you?

The merchant sounds like she/he is doing her best to resolve the situation. Hope your package comes soon.

as its near christmas i did wonder that maybe it would take a little bit longer than normal,

funnily enough,i won an item on the 8th
hadnt arrived so i emailed the seller yesterday who assured me the item was sent 'several days ago & perhaps it was caught in the xmas post'
arrived today posted on the 15th :rolleyes:

I sent something first class recorded on the 8th to somerset,still not arrived,are there any problems in that neck of the woods????

Have you checked your local sorting office, the posties dont always post a message saying that youve got something to collect.
The postage is a bit hit and miss at the moment due to sheer volume of stuff being sent. I have posted quite a few packages lately, some people received the next day but some have had to wait over a week for delivery. If you can i would wait a bit longer before asking for a refund.

i have been in pretty much every day this week or at least the morning i have been when the post has been delivered

You should still check your sorting office and I think at this time of year allow a min of 15 days.
