Sorry but I'm on Stonk's side on this one.
Too many people today expect compensation for a genuine mistake for which they have suffered no loss. These very same people post drivel on here wanting companies to refund charges because they have forgotten to make a payment on time and it's always somebody else's fault.

I agree with what most people have said, in the fact that he just needs to sign the form.

My question was just to find out if there was a chance that he did not have to.

We fill in so many forms regarding our personal business, i feel that it is good just to double check on things.

To clarify we will not be trying to get compo out of this. I agree that most people would not be happy if their money went elsewhere, other than where they wanted it to go. Particulary if it was for a bill etc.

    We are not scavengers ......honest.

i feel my email has caused a bit of a kerfuffle!!

I was only trying to find out. Thank you to those of you who have replied without being so rude.

You could have saved your 5 seconds without replying at all.

    Thank you for being unhelpful.

i have only started using this website, as most people seem genuine and happy to help. Barr this one.

Err ... Well, I re-read my post, and it's still reasonably clear I was "being rude" to Chadsman, not to you. So there's no need to take offence.

In my defence, I am very helpful to those who deserve it. Look at my ratio of thankyous to thanked posts, and compare it with others'.
