Norton Antivirus And Firewall

Options
Ok Techie people If I buy Norton Internet Security 2006, is this the same as Antivirus and firewall, or do I need to buy firewall as well. I currently have norton antivirus and firewall, but it seemed cheaper to buy a new one through Amazon rather than through Norton themselves

I think its all bundled.. but why dont you save money and system
    resources and get freebies.
  • ok, for the correct answer..

Norton IS 2006 is Antivirus and Firewall all in one

i would fully recomend this to anyone.

DO NOT USE AVG free edition.

i just this very day,had to clean an infected PC with 71 viruses, and 19 trojans, on a system with AVG installed.

it is the old addage, you get what you pay for

Stick with Norton, it may slow your system slightly, but it is rock solid

NIS is antivirus and firewall but you can get both seperate too ie Norton anti virus and Norton firewall. I never had a problem with either although I now prefer AVG Pro but still use Norton Firewall dont have latest build though still using 2005.

If you download the Google pack, you get 6 months free subscription to Norton, amongst other things. ;)

    Download here

You can select which elements you download.

AVG installed but NEVER used to make a scan

any anti virus only does its job if you do

search "Norton"on this section and see how mant problems come up

I've had AVG for about 6 years NEVER had a problem

It seems you either like Norton or you hate it. There doesn't seem to be anything in between. I have a month to go with Norton and I am still not sure what to do.

Would the true money saving option be going to AVG and a free firewall?

Then again if these are not good enough you may end paying more in the long run.

    :confused::confused::confused:
