  • I doubt too many kids enter any of these comps as it seems all the holier than thou posters are already entering for their 'kids' :)

If people want these comps to be left for kids they should just let the kids enter themselves rather than trying to justify their consciences with the fact they have kids but in reality are only after what they can win themselves. Besides the CITV ones were usually tat anyway and most of the stuff I won from them ended up in the bin anyways.
    Wins: pink kids laptop :(
  • Great Comp Thanks! I enter the kids comps with my daughter or son depending on the prize, what ever they win they keep (or in Nov/Dec I have put some of the better wins away for Xmas for them) My daughter would absolutley love a pink laptop!
    2008 - £6,000.00, 2009/10 - Didn't comp
    Back and hoping in 2011!
    Thank you to all posters!

For your information, my DD actually enters lots of children's competitions herself for both her and her younger brother and really enjoys doing so. She also used to enter the CITV ones and although she never actually had a win from one of those, I know she would have been pleased to. I'm sure it would not have ended up in the bin!

And I say all this with a very clear conscience thank you.
If at first you don't succeed ........ ;) Alternative autism therapies should be free!!

What a load of c#@p. I enter for my kids with their own names and email addresses and if a prize arrives for them it is they who benefit from it. Maybe 'tis yourself trying to justify something???????

Maybe you'd have stuck it up on ebay for her instead I guess :)

lol , I imagine you've got family of all ages from babies to pensioners to cover any competition going on here Ghirl, you seem to enter anything from meals in manchester to football games in Scotland.

Is there really any need to argue, fact is this is a comp set up for children to win on so the subject didn't really need to be brought up in the first place as it's probably just given more people the idea to lie. I hope real children win the prizes as that is who the competition is for!!

I think a certain person is just out to argue so the best thing to do is ignore & get on with it, good luck to everyone :rudolf:

Can I just add to those who wish to lie on their entries:

My daughter won with Jetix last year and I was required to send my authorisation for her to receive her prize along with proof of her age (copy of birth cert) - different site but worth bearing in mind

Actually, yes. I do enter comps for my parents aswell in their names, SO? They are as entitled to enter comps as anyone else! If you're referring to the 'thanks' I give, sometimes I go into a comp just to read it then out of habit just press the 'thanks' button.

    Cop on to yourself, like!

I know but I just get annoyed when self-righteous people try to make others feel bad for something as trivial as not physically sitting a child down in front of a computer to enter comps themselves. Some kids can't even spell, type etc......

I agree, mine would make loads of mistakes if I let her do it all on her own, I also don't want her having her own email address yet so I use her name & my email addy (she gets the prize though)

PS I also agree.. just because someone has clicked the thanks button doesn't mean they have entered it, I say thanks on nearly every comp but I don't enter them all ;)
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:
