Tipping - only those who go beyond their job description, we've had several postmen this year so would be wrong in a way IMO, binmen aren't usually helpful, ignorant in fact, apart from at Christmas time.

Got to leave now, not that I want to go, catch up with you all later.
One day I might be more organised...........

In my HHC x2 I matched up odd socks!! and thats about it.

Re tipping previously I have tipped the postie, will do out new one this year as he is great with parcels etc if not home, I am also going to leave out some bottles of lager for our binmen as they notice the bin at the side of the house is we have forgotten to put it out on the street - vast difference fromt he old house the binmen would walk past a bin if it wasnt completely on the street!!

Re the tipping - if they go 'above and beyond' then I tip - if not, I don't. Wouldn't dream of tipping the postie as it's never the same one anymore....
Lil_me - huge hugs - it's so sad but 'nice' that you CAN make the decision and don't have to let them suffer...I have been reading about the lady with ME. All we can hope for, it seems, is pain relief if necessary.

I have managed to put the glasses back and the ones I am taking to Help the Aged (cos I'll need them soon :rotfl: ) are wrapped and bagged. Bathroom and kitchen done, bed made and cards (especially 'out of town') are posted - and they have been collected - there is a postbox just up the road - so the cat came with me - she's so funny - I walk up or down the road and she accompanies me but she runs through the gardens up to the limit of her territory. I have posted a card to NI! Never sent one there before!(***winks at MoF77***)
I am going to get my washing in when I have finished my coffee - dry enough to iron - so that's the next job:D

First coat of emulsion on, not much left to do.
Am having a bath in a moment as my sciatica is playing up something chronic:eek: I feel really old, hoping a bath will ease it, if not will have to hunt down some parrots.

I know you're offline now but big, big hugs lil_me.

  • Thinking of Lil_me at the moment!

DS is being brilliant as always - just wish he would fly in his bedroom!

DD had put some books in boxes in Narna, so he's transferred them to the attic and passed me all the Christmas decorations.

I've sorted of another boxful of cr*p from work, papers that they've decided we no longer need. I certainly don't need it in my house, so it's in a black bag ready to go to the tip (along with the several other bags I have ready - shredded paper, a bag of cardboard etc). If DH is a bit more amenable tonight, I'll get him to load the car for me. I've also vacuumed upstairs (as much as possible) and we're now having a coffee break (and a codydramol for my headache) and a short rest.

DS is going to make dinner while I vacuum downstairs.
