  • Afternoon, and congratulation to all those doing well with assignments, flying and just life!

Not done much at all today so far. DD had the dentist at 8.10 and as she works in Bristol, by the time she took the train it would be half way through the morning, so I took her and was back for most of DN3's Nativity which started at 9.30. She looked lovely dressed as Mary. My sister had been asked to make her costume, and she was wearing a headdress that my sister had worn as Mary about 45 years earlier at Birmingham Town Hall! Then I went back to DB's for a cuppa, before dropping him off at work on the way back to my house.

Since I got home, I've done dailies like DW, WM, TD and SS'd bathroom/shower room and kitchen. DS put the breadmaker on for me. I was sitting quietly checking my emails when he came and said I might like to go and have a lie down. His GF's mother had just parked at the back of our house. I said "I'm in the bath" and shot upstairs. I had a lovely soak in the bath and came out when they'd gone. If she had just dropped her daughter off to spend some time with DS, I wouldn't mind, but knowing I'm off ill, she also had obnoxious g*t son with her because he's off school ill! Do I not have enough bugs of my own? I feel sorry for GF though.

I was just getting out of the bath when the Hotpoint man arrived. We had a new fridge and freezer in March and I've had loads of problems with doors not closing, seals coming loose etc. The freezer is finally sorted, but the engineer came out with a new door today and decided that the chassis is warped, so they now have to send me a new fridge!:mad: Why has it taken 6 visits and will it be here before Christmas? And will they take the damaged one away? (they haven't taken the old doors, we've had to take them to the tip ourselves.)

I am slowly making progress with tidying the craft table in the study, finding homes for everything and bringing the last few bits down from the spare room, so I'll watch the end of this prog DS put on, then go and do some more "sorting".

Okay dailies are done, kitchen decluttered, just needs a wipe down, floor was done on Sunday so will just give it a sweep. I need to post a couple of cards and write the cards for the neighbours which I will post on way to school.

Stand and wait in their staff room for them to find you a spare seat, I think they will ;)
I even offered to bring my own seat - computer says no...

Just finished the lounge, and vacuumed everywhere. I discovered under the armchair a partly eaten chocolate off the Christmas tree. Mmm, I wonder which 3 year old it was who ate that then?:rotfl:

  • Ok there's good news and bad news!!!

Bad news is that I am STILL waiting for the boiler service man to arrive or contact me - having been up since silly o'clock I am knackered! and fell asleep in the chair so lost most of the morning - what a bl**dy waste of time!!

Good news is that I PASSED my exam - 91% - only had the bits wrong that I knew about yesterday. Well chuffed - can get onto the next module now.

    toots xx
