  • It is worth setting aside a budget for storage - eg bookshelves etc. The other thing is if you have stuff you need to keep but don't use as such, do you have a kindly friend/relative with an attic who might let you store it there. If not, you can also get a self store unit. I know it costs money but I did this in the past when we were in a 2 bed place and had a lot of stuff, and it was worth it.

On the OH, it is worth trying to notice what the jobs are around the house that he notices more than you. Mine hates dirty floors although would quite happily eat off a dirty table for a week  with the result that I have cultivated not noticing that floors need brushed :) - seriously though if there are things that he will notice and do then don't do them yourself!! And if he does something bite your tongue about how he hasn't done it right (I am still trying to do this one myself! Why would you put shopping away in all of the wrong places??? Why???)

Oh and lil_me the list will be transferred onto the pc once they are all wrapped so I don't duplicate next year! I usually do have it on here already but this year I felt so disorganised that it was just on paper.

Also thanks for the cards from the flyladies who have sent direct to us :D I keep forgetting to thank you all.

    My list for today, plus
    1. Do some baking with DD2 (didn't get round to it yesterday - ran out of time!). I've run out of things for lunchboxes (mainly because I have a greedy family who will eat all the goodies within a couple of days, no matter how many things I get in )
    2. Buy bus ticket for DH
    3. Collect Child Benefit and do a bit of shopping (no pasta, rice or tinned tomatoes in - need to go to Tesco for those really as prices at the local supermarket are pretty scary on those things but not going to 'the big city' until Friday)
    4. WMx3 2 done
Just having a :coffee: and some almonds and raisins before cracking on.

Pigpen - how do you defrag a laptop? What does it do?

    Same as a desk top..

    Program flies
    accessories
    system tools
    disc defrag.

It stacks all the files neatly in order and makes the machine work quicker.

    Morning all

Not really flying this week because I've succumbed to the lurgy, but I have managed to keep up with the laundry including DD2's bedding. I got the vacuum round downstairs yesterday and I've given the worktops in the kitchen a good wipe down today and cleaned the sink. Had to do it in stages though with a lie down in between.

Luckily I've got most Christmassy stuff sorted apart from no tree up yet (there's still time) and the last food shop next Monday.

Welcome to any newbies, and hope other people are well.

Off to read some more posts.
